What this mod does
A simple texture change + added glow for all Guiding Lands mining outcrops and bonepiles.
Does not require Stracker's Loader. Should work after any game update.
How to install
Unzip this mod to nativePC folder. Installation paths:
Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World\nativePC\
How to remove
Delete the following folders:
nativePC\Assets\gm\gm000\HGDF7C213GF7D8F_TGL (folder containing the textures)
nativePC\Assets\gm\gm000\gm000_5xx (24 folders total: 510-513, 520-523, 530-533, 540-543, 550-553, 580-583)
How to change textures/colors with Photoshop
First you need the following 3 tools: Photoshop, Intel DDS plugin for Photoshop and a .TEX to .DDS converter.
The files that controls colors and glow are at: nativePC\Assets\gm\gm000\HGDF7C213GF7D8F_TGL
The files with the word "glow" controls the intensity + color.
A completely black image would remove the glow; a brightly colored image would increase it.
For easy luminosity control in photoshop, press Control+L for brightness adjustment.
For easy color control, press Alt+Shift+Control+B, click Tint and adjust Hue+Saturation levels.
For more advanced photoshoping, either use google or watch some youtube videos.
What I want to experiment with/add in future updates
* Astral type glow from Astral armor.
* Fast pulsating type glow from thunderbugs/weedge beetles.
* Wave type glow from Safi'jiiva weapons.
* Control the LOD on certain bonepile models to load from farther away.
* Control the gathering spots 3d model to make them disappear completely after they've been exhausted.
