Hey, I'm new to editing code in hexadecimal, but I found the new version too dim. I did a diff on the version from yesterday and from today and changed the values you changed to be half-way between those values (I converted to base 10, took the value at halfway being 42049, then converted to base 16) at A441 and the brightness seems a lot nicer. Works well even with a purple monster material effect in the Highlands.

I use 010 Editor: https://www.sweetscape.com/010editor/
If you open the *.efx files with a Hex Editor (found in nativePC/vfx/efx/gm/gm000/ and within each folder there) and look for about line 0450h (on the left side), you'll find the values 80 40 if you have the latest version (1.1). Simply change the 80 to A4 and the 40 to 41 and save. Do that with each *.efx file.
To help some in finding the proper values, look for FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 00 80 40. The 80 and 40 are what you want to change to the A4 41.
If you have trouble, DM me your discord name and I can send them your way.
You can look inside of the inspector to see the value for the float you changed is 20.5 if you move the cursor over 2 bytes (the whole float is 00 00 A4 41) When you put a number inside of the inspector where it is 20.5 it will update the hex Note that for the white drops it will probably be very bright in wildspire waste if you use the unique icon packs I'll be trying different brightness out tomorrow. i use unique 2 it has 3 icon 0450h 80 40 is only change the bottom aka the big one and 2 didn't change how do i change the brightness for the middle icon and top icon if this has been told can you explain it more simply i have read entire post and still don't understand sorry for my bad english thankyou.
I'm getting the same issue. Tried downloading Unique 3 and got a single document labeled "Unique Version 3-2325(etc.).rar" Seemed off I wasn't getting a native folder as the description mentioned.

There is no such thing as downloading a "native folder". You have never downloaded a folder in your browser, only single files.
Finally I no longer lose sight of drops/slinger in the ehat of the moment or simply can't find drop items because the environment is too vibrant or whatever, seriously, thanks ^^
This mod desperately needs some captioned videos/gifs showcasing the 6 different types. I have no idea what "jiggles without fading" means, what is the "unique version"? What?
Feb 23, 2022. Tried out the unique mods. Work and look great. Decided on Unique 2 (three icons that jiggle but dont fade out). Installed the vibrant color mod, still works and looks great. Downloaded the bold icon mod, still works and looks even better.
My only concern is that dropped slinger ammo disappears when I drop another slinger ammo. Now that I really think about it, I am not sure if this is normal, or a bug caused by one of these mods. For example: start with no slinger ammo. Pick up some redpit. Drop redpit for stone. Redpit shows up on the ground. But if I drop the stone for some different redpit, the first redpit disappears. If i pick up a third redpit, the stone then disappears, leaving only the most recently dropped slinger ammo on the ground. Again, not sure if this is normal or not, gonna have to uninstall all of the mods to find out.
Edit: uninstalled the efx mods to test. slinger ammo acts the same is it did with the mods installed, and so i guess I have just never noticed this behavior before, unless one of my other mods is causing this, but I doubt it.
