Why Should I Be Interested?

Do you wish for a challenge? Do you want more out of your game? Do you wish to play with like-minded Hunters?

This mod may be for you! The Hunting Season Packs are made by fans that have been crafting custom quests for over a decade. Our goal is to create fun and balanced content to keep the game fresh and interesting.

What Are Hunting Season Packs?

Hunting Season Packs are periodic installments that are meant to be easy to install and overwrite very little. We take Low Rank content and transform it into entirely new High Rank content. Which means these packs work best once you have completed all Low Rank optional quests in the game.

Does this Mod ruin my game?

Hunting Season Packs do not overwrite monster files. This means you can install the mod and still enjoy all the High Rank content that the game has to offer. This pack does NOT alter monster behavior, add new abilities, or add skins. High Tempered Monsters are exclusively found only in the new quests provided in the pack.

How Difficult is the New Content?

In order to make Packs appealing to most players, we test them over and over again to find balance. As Monster Hunter World introduces many new players to the series, we avoided tuning the quests to feel impossible.

For the average player these quests may be difficult, but if you are a seasoned veteran these quests may feel too easy. But as Monster Hunter World continues to expand its content, so will we. Each Hunting Season will be significantly harder than the one before it.

What are High Tempered Monsters and how did you make them?

We write our Quest Files entirely from scratch! Those working on the mod have intimate knowledge of Monster Hunter World's Quest Files. These are NOT simple products of a Quest Editor. No Quest Editor has yet been designed to compete with our level of detail.

We know how to properly tune each Monster with variables not found in any editor. This allowed us to create High Tempered Monsters. Think Tempered Monsters, but with greater armor, damage, and resistance to status effects - not boring HP sponges.

But I Have No One To Play With!

We're way ahead of you! In order to play these quests Online via Multiplayer, everyone needs to have the pack installed. So wouldn't you like to have access to a place where everyone has the pack installed?

Introducing HR50 Content!

Based on feedback and popular demand, the Hunting Season Pack now offers HR50 content. Unfortunately, because of this major change, Version 1.1 is NOT COMPATIBLE with 1.0. So all users will have to re-download and re-install the mod pack. Please follow the instructions provided, as simply overwriting the nativePC will NOT remove the old pack entirely.

Four New Quests

To give our HR50 players more to do, we added four new quests! HR100+ players may find these quests far too easy, but they are welcome to try them regardless. They can still be very enjoyable to play with friends.

New Quest Order

To accommodate the new quests we had to make major changes to the numbering. While several quests remain from 1.0, almost all of them have been given a new number. This is why there is a huge compatibility issue. Yet now their order better reflects their difficulty.

Re-Balanced Rewards

We made tweaks and adjustments to how much Zenny and EXP were earned from each quest. Now rewards match the layout. Harder quests are much more rewarding than easier ones, and compensate properly to ensure all quests are played.

Stun Resistance Adjustment

Some players complained that the monsters were entirely immune to stun. We've adjusted these numbers to make it more possible. It's still very hard to do at this time, but with enough focus from all players it is possible to stun and staggers monsters. Just don't expect to see it very often.

For the Complete Change Log, check out the PasteBin, review the file here on Nexusmods, or within the document CHANGE_LOG.txt found within the package!

Yes, but...

FOLLOW ALL PROVIDED INSTRUCTIONS! Every single complaint we've ever had about the "mod not working properly" has always boiled down to end-user not reading any, or all, of the instructions. All documentation is provided within the package in several forms. We not only have text files but also visual aids in the form of JPEG guides.

Ease of Use is Important to Us!

If you wish to have a fun and worry free experience, please read all documentation available in the package. We would never release a mod that would damage your game, endanger your account, or threaten your save data. If you are at all wary -- we have created special steps just for you.

We wish to have as many people as possible download and share this mod. To accomplish this, we have taken everything into account with clear and easy-to-follow instructions, FAQs, and even have a Support section in our Discord for step-by-step if you desire it.

Will I Get Banned?

This is a very common question. The simple answer is, absolutely not -- as long as you follow all instructions provided that is. We understand there is always a risk to using mods. But there is always a smart way to go about it.

Understand that no one has been Banned by CAPCOM for any reason at this time, and as long as you DISABLE DATA SENDING, then they will have no possible way to monitor your activity. This is a very simple thing to disable and instructions are provided with the package.

So What Exactly Does this Mod Replace?

Sixteen Low Rank Quest will be overwritten with the installation of the Mod. Please carefully view each quest and ensure you've Completed them. Some are vital to Quest Lines which provide items and enhancements within the game.

-- To renew these quests, simply uninstall the Mod Pack. Refer to the INSTRUCTIONS.txt for more information on how to remove the Mod Pack if you so choose.

Wait, Why Are There So Many Files Then!?

The Hunting Season Packs include much more than just the quest files, you can expect to see:

  • The Quest File Data
  • Reward/Loot Pool Data
  • Supply Box Data
  • Quest Text & Translation Data
  • Text Documentation
  • JPEG Image Guides

If you have additional questions we have prepared an FAQ!
