About this mod

An essential QoL mod for all multiplayer hunters. Adds important NPCs to the gathering hub, so you don't have to constantly leave for crafting and facility management.

Permissions and credits
Monster Hunter: World - Improved NPC Locations v0.7.6
Mod by MHVuze

Adds the following NPCs to the gathering hub: Smithy, Resource Center, Botanist, Tailraider Safari, Argosy Captain, Elder Melder, Researcher.
Client-side mod, others don't see the newly added NPCs if they don't use the mod as well. However, it works fine for you (other players will simply see you talking to ghosts).

Tested and working with game build 153524.

Known issues
  • Forging the Dual Blades "Wrath & Rancor" and "Decimation Claws" causes the game to crash. This seems to be an isolated issue. Remove the mod to craft (and eventually upgrade) it. Or see below for possible workaround.
  • There are some reports of getting stuck at the smithy after crafting and equipping a weapon. I haven't been able to reproduce this but it can seemingly be fixed by saving and quitting to the main menu, then reloading into the game.
  • According to a report, you can go out of bounds if you talk to the Tailraider Safari NPC if you stand between her and the ship ledge.

Use at your own risk! Play in offline mode if you fear a ban or whatever.
While this mod on taps into the native functions of the game, I'd advise having a savegame backup routine going (you should do regular backups anyway).

1. Move the nativePC folder from the downloaded archive to your install dir (i.e. D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World)
2. Profit

Possible workaround for some issues:
  • Delete nativePC\event\etc0110\etc110.sdl.
  • This will cause the camera to go funky when crafting at the smithy but might fix the forging crashes and perhaps stuck situations.

To get rid of the mod, just remove the nativePC folder. Or, if you have other mods installed, remove the files of this mod to keep the other mods intact.

If you downloaded this mod from anywhere but NexusMods, be wary of malicious modifications.

Thanks to hex for testing and Squall8 for making coordinate finding much easier.
