If there is anything wrong with the level indicator or you have any suggestion on calculating the level, feel free to tell me. I'll correct them asap.

Since the original mod author didn't update the mod for a while, I decided to update it to the newest version.
Original mod page: https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/174
Furthermore, I will provide the method used to update so everyone would be able to update it in the future.

What does it do:
Shows the amount of jewels needed to achieve max skill level at the end of the jewel.

Target version:
Ver. 15.10.00
https://steamcommunity.com/games/582010/announcements/detail/2881703925252241916

Install:
Unzip the mod to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World" or your game folder
Unistall:
Remove "item_<language>.gmd" from "...Monster Hunter World\nativePC\common\text\steam"

Difference between main files:
Since there are two skills for one jewel after Iceboren, I will provide three different ways of indicating the max jewels needed.
Example: The max level of Offensive Guard and Attack Boost are 3 and 7.
  • Variant 1: shows the higher level needed -> [7]
  • Variant 2 (suggested by niccolopogi): shows separate numbers -> [3,7]
  • Variant 3 (suggested by OmegaZXA): shows the lower level needed -> [3]

    Steps to reproduce this mod:
The following part is the process I took to update the mod. Note that there might be a easier way.
item_<language>.gmd in green indicate the file you wish to modify.

    • Use WorldChunkTool or WorldChunkToolCPP to extract item_<language>.gmd
    • Load item_<language>.gmd into Cirilla - GMD Editor
    • Export item_<language>.csv using GMD Editor
    • Use a Java program I wrote with the input argument item_<language>.csv to filter the entries and generate patch files called item_<language>_patch_1008_MDLI.csv
    • Import item_<language>_patch_1008_MDLI.csv to item_<language>.gmd using GMD Editor or use Max Decoration Level Batch Patcher to import item_<language>_patch_1008_MDLI.csv to item_<language>.gmd
    • Save item_<language>.gmd
