About this mod

This simple mod is just a bunch of music files converted to in-game format so they can play instead of the original soundtracks.

Why was it done?

I don't really like the original soundtrack of MH:S2. I don't want to say it's bad, but personally it doesn't hit me at all. I wanna have an urge to dance and do cool moves while playing, not listen to generic orchestral motives which are so boring after 10 hours of playing. Gladly I don't have to turn off the sound in-game and play the music I want everytime cause it was easy enough to change it from inside. If you wish to know how, just google for "Megaman 11 music replace" tutorial (placed in Steam Community Posts). No general differences from MH:S2.

What exactly was changed:

-All General Fight Soundtracks to Persona Battle Themes

List of Music:
  • -P4G - Time to Make History
  • -P5 -Last Surprise
  • -P2IS Remake - Battle Theme
  • -P3 - Mass Destruction
  • -P4AU -Break out of...
  • -P5R - I Believe
  • -P5R - Take Over

-All Boss Fight Soundtracks to Persona Bosses Themes

List of Music:
  • -P5 - Will Power
  • -P2EP Remake - EX Final Battle
  • -P4 - The Mist
  • -P3 - Burn My Dread (Future Arrange Remix)
  • -P5 - Keeper of Lust
  • -P5 - Yaldabaoth
  • -P5 - Our Beginning

Lesser Changes:
-Battle Result Music changed to Persona 4 Battle Result Music (P4 - Period)
-Fight Encounter Sound changed to Persona 4 Fight Encounter Sound.
-Pre-Battle Music (Teams Showcase) changed to complete silence. It was fitting the most. Couldn't leave it as it was and couldn't change to something else.
-Title Screen Music to Persona 4 Title Screen Music (P4 - A Corner of Memory)
-Hatch Egg Screen to Velvet Room Dancing Remix (P4DAN - Dance Hymn of the Soul). The original version of Velvet Room was too slow comparing to original track here, so I decided to use remixed version.

HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Download.
2. Unpack the archive.
3. Move "nativeDX11x64" folder to your game folder.
4. Replace everything it asks for.
5. Profit!

I don't know if it's going to work with Vortex or else mod managers cause I literally did no code. If it doesn't replace the files by itself, that's not going to work I guess. Anyway, it should not break the game, it is just music files.

BUGS AND REPORTS:

As I said, there's nothing but just music files so it will not provoke any bugs to gameplay and code. But there still can be bugs with music itself, like unperfect looping or missing music. If anything of that is your case, let me know. It should be fixable. Say about every detail: location, moment of the game, storyline stage, cutscenes, monster you fight and etc. Thank you.

Sometimes there can be updates (mostly, fixes). You can reinstall the mod mid-game easily, no corruption will happen to you save file or the game itself. Tested myself a lot, lol.
