Can confirm this works perfectly now that reframework has been updated for sunbreak! This includes at the canteen in Elgado and if you select Hopping Skewers.
Not sure if this is intentional or if an update broke it, but both options completely skip the eating animation. Opting out of skipping the eating animation just shows my hunter receiving the food buffs for a moment like I skipped the song manually.
I deactivated the mod entirely and when I skip the song manually, the animation really is just my character doing a pose while Yomogi cheers. When I don't skip anything, the entire eating animation plays as normal. Capcom must have shortened it in some update, and that reflects in my mod when you have "skip the song" enabled, but not "skip eating".
Neat! I think it makes sense to have a short eating animation considering you just skipped the song. I probably would not have made the mod if things were like this from the start, lol.
So yeah, if you want to watch the full eating animation, you cannot skip the song either.
This mod does nothing at game startup, it only calls game functions to skip the dango song... It's just not possible to be caused by it. Basically nothing runs unless you're sitting at the canteen. You probably need to check if REFramework Direct2D at Monster Hunter Rise - Nexus mods and community is updated.
You're right this is not the cause and sorry about that. Ive finally pinpointed the real cause and it's weird it acts that way. Maybe you can provide some insight as well.
The reason I thought this mod is causing the error is that because I'm using Steam Deck on handheld at the time.
I have this issue right now that if handheld mode, fatal d3d error (22) occurs. If connected to a tv or monitor, all are working fine.
Aspect ratio mod specifically causes this , when I'm using that mod and connected to a tv, and that was the time i installed that mod, it works fine . No issue.
When i transition from tv to handheld steam deck screen, the error occurs.
The time i installed your mod, i went to handheld , moments from playing on docked with the aspect ratio. So that's why i thought initially.
I see, no problem! While I can't help you with that, I think you might find some help on the monster hunter modding discord: https://discord.gg/gJwMdhK
Hi, thank you for your work. The "dango song" gets frustrating very quickly.
I was wondering, would it be possible to add other "small" cinematics, like those for hiring buddies, sending out submarines and meowcenaries, those stuff that becomes boring after you've seen them a couple times?
Inconsistently how? I never had a skip "fail" on me, even now on TU2. I can take a look at it if you create an issue with the REFramework logs/recording.

Sometimes it will run just fine, then another time it wil crash.
Just before the main menu screen.
Tested with and without.
If uninstalled no random crashes at start up.
Also tried both stable and nightly build of REframework.
Any one else experience the same?

Could be REframework issue or mhrise itself.
Not sure though.

However, the conditions have not yet been identified.
Thank you for the wonderful mod!
