Player model edit test. Modifies the Rakna-Kadaki Female Armor.
Very quick simple edit to figure out how modding for MHR works. Why did I edit it this way? Because it's easy. I don't particularly like this outfit or anything, and I don't have any plans to update it. I figured I may as well just release it.
I originally wanted to fix the player face model, but the RE Engine tools don't seem to correctly support importing/exporting the face model right now. Swapping NPC face models with the player face model also does not work, so I guess there's something special about the player face model.
Changelog:
- Added a pak version. Untested, but should work.
Notes:
- Experimented with making the legs longer via editing the bones in the leg mesh. May be better to edit the bone_drv JCNS file in the bone folder, but I don't want to waste time hex editing it, and there are no tools for it yet. Editing the shadow mesh in the bone folder does not change the skeleton.
- I reuploaded the mod because I forgot to add a preview image for the mod manager.
- I've heard Capcom encrypted the full game files, so this mod probably won't work until someone figures out how to decrypt them.
Installation (Mod Manager):
Move the downloaded file into the Fluffy Manager 5000's mod folder.
It should look like this: Fluffy Manager 5000\Games\MHRISE_Demo\downloadedfilename.rar
Click refresh mod list if you need to, and then turn the mod on.
Installation (Pak version):
Unpack the archive into the MHR folder. If there is another mod already using the filename, you must rename the number of the pak to the next number.
For example: re_chunk_000.pak.patch_001 -> re_chunk_000.pak.patch_002
Uninstallation:
If you want to revert to the original, simply disable the mod in Fluffy Manager. Or delete the pak file.
Credits:
I would like to emphasize that none of this would've been possible without the hard work of the people listed here.
- Thanks to all modding contributors. Will fix the credits here once I figure out who made what.
- Fluffy and Ekey for RETool, and Fluffy again for Fluffy Manager.
- AlphaZomega for the RE Engine tools.
- MHVuze, Asterisk, etc for the MH Rise Modding Wiki and figuring out various things.
- Michalss & Kramla, Ekey, MHVuze for Rise Pak Patch Tool.
- 本本子, Silvris, Ando, Asterisk, MHVuze, mhrice(wwylele), dtlnor for the MHR PC demo RE Tool file list.
- Noesis by Rich Whitehouse.
Special thanks to the people reporting problems, and helping others out in the forum.
Extra special thanks to those who donated!!
