About this image
Just has i thought i was finally done...
with this absolute cluster F armor that took me a sleepless week to finish or so i thought..
i just had to zoom in for a last screenshot... huh..
to see.. that... "viooolin"
due to Part 1 color being assigned by red and Part 2 by green..
and CMM files being pretty low resolution...
upon saving them without black to separate the colors like most if not all other armors
caused..
most of the pixels around the borders to turn yellowish...
Due to some random ghostly half transparent pixels appearing and causing yellow texture..
which.. yaa
is not red or green sooo fails to be colorable
i... have... to recrop everything... ARRRRRGGGGG
and save every single parts on its own layer while making sure there is absolutely no faded pixels to cause yellow...
atleast.. i finally got the perfect parts selected so..
ill use the hd 2k texture and layer colors over that to be sure there is no freakin aliasing
and then once all layers are redone separately.. ill resize it to a 1024px cmm instead of 512
the gala is the only armor i seen so far that does not have ridiculous miles wide clear separations
due to the gold and the lines not being separate mesh parts like usual
so hopefully higher rez will prevent those rogue semi transparent pixels to appear and turn yellow...
didn't sleep since Tuesday trying to finish this..
so it bettur work otherwise i'll die trying
it does look dayum good though..

You do a lot more texture work than I do so feel free to point out if this is dumb, but have you tried using color channels instead of layers to keep everything separate? You might not have to start completely over.
You're right about that looking really good though. I might have to bump a shapely gala suit up on my list of priorities.
since most textures for some reason unknown..
simply become super stretched on the outlayer in between other textures
instead of just being black like it kinda should..
it just spreads colors everywhere and splurts a bunch different gradient shades of colors
which in return causes pixelized alias borders or becomes to long to pick all gradients
that i am basically better off selecting each part zones and layer them
and atleast once that is done,
it allows me to very quickly do any kind of variant i would want
and mainly helps me know where to put the CMM colorable zones on
the main texture has to be desaturated with hopefully has similar shades has possible
to allow all parts to match ingame using the same rgb
so unlike the weapon recolors that do not even use cmm unless mayb sunbreak brings weap recolor hopefully
all i am really doing with the colorable outfits is try to figure out where to add red and green patches on an empty black canvas xD
and like this one that has strings and wraps that unlike most armors
are very very close together if not literally on top of each other
so for the most part but mainly due to the gala complexity compared to something like the sonic
manually cropping at 800% zoom is almost the only way
the sonic was has simple has
Before
After
The gala looks more like..
Before Insanity
After Losing Sanity?
and due to cmm being low res it causes this antialias BS that even overflows the boundaries of my cropping
which is why i have to properly individually layer them and copy/paste spam layers on top of each other to turn those nearly invisible pixels to fill up without adding more and more all around
otherwise that's what it did
after exporting
And yes you do ;3
There's Simply something about a women in suit hmmhm
Which a slightly opened blouse on top would surely make it simp worthy >w<
