This mod attempts to use the Frostbite engine's physically based sky rendering to simulate the sky on Mars. If you have been to Mars and can comment on the accuracy of this mod we'd be very excited to hear from you!


This is only a visual mod; uninhabitable environment and low gravity are not included.

Changes include:
-Altered Rayleigh scattering coefficients and ozone percentage as a rough guess as to what Mars's atmosphere might be like
-Enabled Mie scattering in order to emulate Mars's "blue sunset" (may cause issues where sun glare permeates through objects)
-Adjusted fog color
-Reduced sun intensity
-Reduced blue-ness of stars

This mod is incompatible with other mods that affect the ve_tod_XXXX files, for example Better Skies.
This mod has only been tested in free-roam and may not work correctly during missions.
