About this mod

When exploring intended areas, lighting isn't a problem, as the developers have placed there lightsources intentionally. But when going Out of Bounds, darkness becomes an enemy - this is a tool to attempt to combat that without breaking the immersion completely! Use 3 modes of the flashlight(can turn it off too), and make exploring at night great!

FLASHLIGHT MOD

----------------------------------

Flashlight comes with 3 modes, that You can toggle on-the-go. Button sounds are included for fanciness :) Turning the light off is also possible.

- Standard flashlight ; Averagely bright (perceived light depends on roughness of the surface). Most of the time, other modes will not have to be initiated.

- Wide light ; Makes the flashlight beam stronger, while also increasing the outer angle of the beam. Very useful when in open, dark spaces.

- Anansi mode ; This mode was made specifically for exploration of Anansi, where all lights have been manually dimmed by the developers(when exploring the tower at night, the light is very, very dim, but I had to balance the usablity in- and outside of Anansi). I also like to call it Snipe Mode, as outside of Anansi, it becomes useful for viewing objects further away than Wide mode allows

Note: Anansi/Snipe mode has lower outer angle than Wide mode, to not make it over-powered in other areas.

The flashlight dims itself down when approaching surfaces, to not blind the player and also make for a better transition effect.

You can control the brightness of the flashlight with Up and Down Arrow Keys, or D-Pad Up and Down respectively (i hope lol)

----------------------------------

ISSUES

- When climbing over the edge, the flashlight will make a very brief flash of light, due to sudden change of distance of flashlight to camera

- Sometimes, the surfaces will glitch out a little, as the flashlight has dynamic lighting, which the game wasn't designed in mind with.

- Occassionally, for unknown reasons, the flashlight will create artifacts when rotating the camera, in form of diagonal stripes. They seem to happen in specific areas, and more often during daytime in dark spots.

- Some surfaces seem to absorb light more easily, thus forcing the player to turn on Snipe mode in order to see properly.

- When using a zipline, Faith's legs are directly in front of the flashlight beam, but are not detected by dimming system, thus causing brief flashes of light.

MAKE NIGHTTIME GREAT AGAIN!
