This simple mod "backports" all current discs from newer versions to an older one (currently 1.16.5).
The discs are obtainable in the same way most discs are - by having a skeleton kill a creeper. However, instead of just having a chance of getting one of the new discs instead of one from the version you're playing, a newer disc will drop as a rare bonus second disc alongside whatever other disc you get from it.
Yes, I plan to update this mod as new versions of Minecraft bring more discs into being.
Yes, I will consider doing this for other versions of the game. (Versions that I play or versions that are popular requests in comments are likely to get a version of this mod made for them.)
All songs used are from base game Minecraft in later versions. All disc textures are manually recreated versions of the exact discs from the later versions of the game.
I have not tested using these as zip files. To ensure the mod works correctly on a manual download, extract the included file and add it to your mods folder without any folder nesting.
I originally posted this on CurseForge. I figured since I also do mods here, I may as well put it here, too.
