I tried playing today but was having some issues. I wouldn't spawn in the correct position inside my character and the player info was centered on the screen instead of locked to my left hand. I see there was a large update for the game on December 7th and I'm wondering if maybe the mod needs to be updated.
Definitely having this issue on my quest 3. Aiming reticle and UI is locked to the center of my screen and follows the direction I look instead of the direction I point the gun. I tried a few levels. Game is still playable, but far more difficult with no aiming reticle for the gun. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the game or the newer headset. I might try downpatching the game and reinstall the mod to see if it works better
Did a little testing and can confirm that downpatching the game version fixed all the issues I was having with the VR mod. I downpatched to app ID: 1061910 Depot ID: 1061912 Manifest ID: 2410570565164242610 This should be the version before the December 7th update you mentioned. I would recommend anyone wanting to use this mod does the same until the mod author posts an update for the newest version
Fantastic mod! Any plans to add swapped leftie controls? Or can you rebind within SteamVR? I don't mind doing it myself, but it's such a giant pain in the butt that I'd rather know before going into it and wasting an hour struggling with an impossible task.
Could anyone who owns the full game try the demo and see if there's a difference in performance? I can confirm the mod's compatible with the demo, but unfortunately performance is atrociously bad. Even at minimum settings (including disabling post processing in the mod config) at 10% render resolution I'm constantly dipping below 50 FPS on an RTX 3080.
I'll look into it, but I don't own a wmr headset to test it. You should be able to create your own custom bindings in steamvr in the meantime. You may need to enable developer mode to be able to bind the pose actions that are needed for the weapon positions though
Did anyone figure it out? Controllers on Reverb G2 don't do anything at all and weapon and UI are around the floor level, even though VR view works and is at a normal height.
Lovely in VR thank you! I downloaded the more recent version from Github and worked right away with one exception: my skull and shotgun won't aim (when using an xbox controller, tho they auto-pointed before VR). Is this something I'll have to use the VR controllers to be able to use?
I guess one other thing to note that turning with the joystick is choppy AF but head turning is very smooth... any workaround? I'm on High settings with an i9 12th gen, 3090 and 64GB ddr5 ram on win 10.
Great mod, it works very well, but I would like to use the gamepad to play in VR, could you add the option? VR controls need a lot of movement from the arms and it´s more confortable for me to use the gamepad in vr, like in Skyrim, No man´s sky or Subnautica. Many thanks for your work.
Hey, I saw that in the changelogs you had untested Reverb bindings. Do you have to do anything to enable them? otherwise, sadly they are not working. Thanks for making such a cool mod !
(it doesn't even show my controllers moving/being tracked when I use my keyboard to navigate into a level, despite the fact that they are connected and working in the steam vr menu)
