Update:  Remade for the January 20 update.

Infinity Suppressor

I'll be honest.  I'm a total wimp.  But I try to justify myself by telling myself suppressors shouldn't break after half a magazine.  Or maybe I just can't be bothered to call in a resupply every five minutes and then another when the first lands on the roof.  Or maybe the game is just more fun with suppressed weapons.  Whatever the reason or problem, I made a mod to fix it, by making suppressors a bit more durable.  A bit more infinitely durable, actually.

Yeah.  Now suppressors don't wear out.  While you could just use the Infinity Bandana, that restricts you from deploying as a DD Combat Unit solider.  If you're using Quiet Player Pack, for example, the most endorsed mod contemporaneously, no Infinity Bandana for you while playing as Quiet.  And if you just want to role-play as someone else or just don't like the look of the bandana or horns for that matter, this is a problem.

A lot of credit for this mod goes to jvarnes (maker of TPP HARDCORE Mod) from whom I learned how to modify the .lua file this mod uses.  In fact, the original version of this mod used to be a modified version of their Default Ammo option for their hardcore mod.  Thanks, jvarnes!  Make sure you check out their modding page as well (https://www.facebook.com/MGSMods)!

Download also contains .lua's for 00.dat for merging with other mods if you're into that.

Installation:

In the "0" folder of the "master" folder in your game directory, replace your 00.dat with the one in the download, making sure to back up your old one.  If using a modded 00.dat, you'll need to use something like MGSV QAR to combine everything together.  More instructions on that included with the download, as well as how to recreate the mod yourself.  The specific file modified within 00.dat is something called EquipParameters.lua under Assets > Tpp > level_asset > weapon > ParameterTables > parts, or, for unlimited items, EquipParameterTables.lua under Assets > Tpp > level_asset > weapon > ParameterTables.

Infinite Ammo and Support Weapons:

Both downloads include an option for infinite ammo and Support Weapons, but only as .lua files.  You'll need MGSV QAR to pack them into the 00.dat.  A tutorial for making any of the edits made by this mod can be found in the ReadMe, as well as in the instructions included with either download option.

Additional Notes and Considerations:

There're a couple of extra things you should take note of before and as you use this mod.  Here are a few important ones that come to mind:

-Firstly, the main download file includes a 00.dat, which you do not have to use, although using it would be easier.  The 00.dat is regularly updated by Konami and those updates will replace your .dat.  Hence this mod will effectively be deleted every time the game updates.  More importantly, however, if you use my 00.dat included in the mod, make sure it's up to date so that you do not overwrite official game updates.  There will inevitably be a delay between when a game patch releases and when I update the mod to accommodate for it.  During this delay, you have several options.  Among those options, you can wait for an update on my part, you can follow the ReadMe to make edits yourself, or you can pack the .lua files included in the mod into your patched 00.dat and see if they still work.  Regardless of what you do, remember to update your backup of the 00.dat when a new patch comes out if you wish to continue modding it.

-The unlimited ammo and support weapons option for this mod does not include items, Fulton extraction devices, or D-Walker munitions.  "Items" include cardboard boxes, pills, night vision goggles, active camouflage, and other consumables in the same inventory wheel.  They remain limited purely because I actually don't know where the values are for making these things unlimited.  If anyone happens to be aware of how this is done, I would love to know!

-When first starting up the game with this mod installed, if you are currently in the field, return to the ACC (by helicopter or pause menu) and redeploy your character.  I'm not sure if this is necessary if you were last using a previous version of the mod, but I still recommend it.

-Lastly, when you make suppressors unbreakable, the game treats them like integrated suppressors and muzzle brakes and compensators, that is, they become non-detachable.  I'm unaware of any way to work around this.  If you want to go loud, you'll have to bring an unsuppressed weapon, attach an underbarrel weapon, or carry some loud grenades (and with the infinite support weapon version, you'll have lots of them anyway).  Sorry for the inconvenience of that.
