Brings the most important piece of cut content back into the game - the blue hats.

Makes it so there's a 50% chance that a Soviet soldier or a CFA mercenary with no helmet, skull cap or radio equipment will wear a fancy beret instead of the usual hat. My personal theory for why they decided not to go with them is because they might have made completely random soldiers stick out for no reason and look too special - well, they're all special boys for me, and now they can wear their special hats, so they feel even more special.

21.08.19 Update: Added a file that replaces CFA and Rogue Coyote snipers' skull caps with cool tourist hats - two variations for each. These boonie hat models were actually intended to be used in some way by the PF soldiers in Africa, but only a static model that was supposed to fall off remained, along with it being reused as a headgear item in Metal Gear Survive.

The reason why I didn't give Rogue Coyote or Zero Risk Security soldiers berets because the former don't play well with it and the latter just don't need them. I also felt that the Zero Risk Security didn't need the boonie hats; their theme is very Blue Urban Security Guard, and all the textures left over for the boonie hats were either tan or camo/green.

Issues
  • When hats fall off, they turn back to their original textures. From what I can tell, the whole hat falling off thing is completely .exe-bound.
I might have seen more, for example one time I've seen one wear a red hat somewhere but couldn't figure out why.
