Chet Rippo also aims to be a definitive source of gameplay balance and tweak related mods via patching into existing code instead of replacing files, so that all the changes the community has come up with over the years can be enjoyed and configured together rather than having to pick and choose.

Mods That Chet Rippo Obsoletes:
These are mods that you should no longer have installed because they overwrite vanilla files, IH files, or other significant assets with old, out of date versions. These files directly regress the game or IH from its latest version.

• Faster Dispatch Missions: Overwrites base game data. Chet Rippo makes the functionality a configurable menu that you can customize for faster (or instant) deployment.
• Real Time Scale and Local Time Mod: Overwrites a base file with an older version, when the required code can be a simple IH module.
• InstantDeploy-NoCasualties: Overwrites base game data. Chet Rippo makes the functionality a configurable menu that you can customize for instant deploy missions with zero casualties.
• No More Volunteers: IH+Snakebite version removes the funciton entirely. Chet Rippo makes the functionality a toggle.
• Alternative Bonuses and No S Rank Restrictions: Overwrites a base file. Chet Rippo has a preset to recreate these settings while remaining compatible with other result screen mod features.
• Combat Deployment Missions: Instant Complete, Faster Refresh: Overwrites base game data. Chet Rippo makes the functionality a configurable menu that you can customize for faster (or instant) deployment.
• Medal Of Honor: Overwrites base game data. Chet Rippo adds presets and configurable conditions for all three medal types, which were not covered in the base mod. Has presets for historic versions as well as further customization beyond what the IH-compatible version had.
• Quiet Shower: Overwrites a base file excessively to change only a few lines. Chet Rippo adds a toggle which will persistently uncheck the flag.
• No S Rank Restrictions: Overwrites a base lua file for a single-line change. Chet Rippo makes the functionality fully configurable, or as simple as activating a preset.
• Shoot and Neutralize - No Timed S Ranks: Overwrites a base lua file. Chet Rippo recreates both the Difficult and Truthful features as presets, as well as letting you tune the values to your own liking.
  

Mods That Chet Rippo Supersedes:
These are mods that you don't have to uninstall, but Chet Rippo implements identical functionality while exposing the same feature set as configurable options via IHHook.

• Turn Portable Toilets into Provisional Showers: Nothing is wrong with the base (IH+Snakebite version) mod, but Chet Rippo adds more configuration features like a time limit on how frequently they can be used, by how much they can reduce your deployment time, and a feature to check how urgent it is for you to shower.
• Lose GMP On Death: Nothing is wrong with the base (IH+Snakebite version) mod, but Chet Rippo adds more configuration features like being able to change the percentage of GMP lost on death in addition to excluding your Global GMP from the calculation so you don't go into the negatives and lose morale.
