Hallo meine Freunde!

The gist is that it replaces (most) weapon sounds in the game. Almost every gun will have a new adjusted sound. The mod also changes the reload clicks to be deeper and use real reload sounds from real guns to replicate them. It might not be a huge change since there are only three reload sounds, but it is easier on the ears and less high pitched. The third thing is that changes gore sound effects to have less of a "hitmarker" sound on them. It's still really dramatized and "hollywood" esq but it sounds much more messy. The fourth is that it changes the NVG on sound, but that part is kind of a work in progress.

One thing I'd like to mention is that this mod is experienced best as a companion to Jim Lefleur's amazing weapon mods.
As of writing this that consists of the AR-15 mod and the FN FAL mod though more weapons are in the works. I collaborated with Jim in making the weapon sounds match the weapons he is replacing them with, so think of this mod as an extension of those, though you certainly can use this standalone.

A few things to get out of the way since I know people are gonna ask.

I'm open to suggestions but I don't do requests. If there is a problem with the mod or audio you're more than welcome to let me know, feedback is also appreciated, such as if something is too loud, quiet, whatever, I'm open to hearing it.

Many in game guns share sounds. For example the MRS and UN-ARC share the same unsuppressed sound meanwhile ALL assault rifles share the same suppressed sound. Pistols share the same sounds as well. Meaning, while I want every gun to have it's own unique sound, we can't do that technically. So for a lot of guns they don't have a exact sound. Like, for instance, the MRS and UN-ARC: Instead of using a 5.56 AR-15 or a 7.62 FAL gunshot sound, I used a Beowulf chambered AR-15, as sort of a midway point. I know a 12.7 is larger than 7.62, but the sound it makes is the right mix of punch and speed.

For pistols, since almost all of them use the same sound, I used a Colt M1911 with the bass lowered a bit. So unsuppressed they all sound really powerful and punchy but suppressed I used a Sig P320 9x19, as sort of a midway between the M1911 and the 9x18 Makarov.

The game also adds in special effects on each sound it processes, such as reverb and so on, this means that you can't really replicate gun sounds *exactly* the way you want to. Many of the gun sounds I used are the uncompressed audio from Modern Warfare 2019, albeit heavily edited and re balanced, so it won't sound exactly the same.

TL;DR is that all gun sounds in the game are changed, some gore sounds were changed, some headshot sounds were changed, all reload sounds are changed, CQC is a bit meatier, and more.
Future Plans

Gonna be broad here since I don't wanna make promises I can't fulfill but here's the general plan of what I want to do.

I'm quite happy with the current state of the sounds, and probably will have no "major" updates like the most recent one. That being said there are plenty of things that need tweaking. Here's some plans though:

-Add a option without the NVG sound replacer
-Rebalance the volume of some sounds such as pistol reloads
-Fix the CQC sounds so they aren't "fleshy" anymore as this was unintended

I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the sound compendium that was created, I'd like to thank Cuba for his video on creating sound mods, as well as Jakob for his sound replacement guide, and SVNR for his help in mapping out the sound files, and Caplag for being Caplag.
