Opening:

  • Full opening (plane crash, mirror and tape scene, bed scene) plays on replays, excluding the title screen
  • Can skip the camera and personal information settings scenes

Escape from Awakening Room:
  • After 10 seconds of no player progress, Ishmael says "This way."
  • After 10 more seconds of no player progress, he says "Hurry and get your ass over here!"
  • After 5 consecutive movements, he says "Good. Keep it up!"

After Helicopter cutscene:
  • After 10 seconds of no player progress, Ishmael says "Come on!" If he's in the right squat idle, he'll also play an unused "look 90 degrees left" animation.

After the Man on Fire cutscene:
  • At the very start, Ishmael says "The emergency stairs. Come on!" just like in the GDC 2013 gameplay presentation.
  • After 10 seconds of no player progress, he says "You can do it." If he's in the right squad idle, he'll also play an unused "look 90 degrees left" animation.
  • After 10 more seconds of no player progress, he says "Hurry!" along with the previously mentioned animation with the right pose condition.
  • The Kojima Productions LA leaflet from the GDC 2013 resentation on the board will be lying on the ground.
  • Enter the Smoke Room:
  • Restored subtitles for Ishamel's line "Do you have a death wish?!" played when approaching the enemy soldiers down the hall and translated with multilingual versions.
  • Added a use of the restraint lines when the player is forced to stop and look at Ishmael. Originally the only used line was "Hold up." but now, after it is played, a random line from five will be played on any further restraint monologues are required.
  • Restored the unused idle animation at the start of the smoke room after entering it. If the player doesn't enter crawling mode, he will wait near you for a minute for you to crawl, before running out of patience and crawling away anyway. It's an incomplete animation, as his fingers are flat and he's slightly lower in the ground than the connecting animations, however.

Escape the Smoke Room:
  • The lights in the smoke room will flicker out after the animations.

Helicopter Kill Cutscene:
  • Ishmael will use an unused animation to get into position from the end of the previous sequence to the crawling position he's in in the following sequence. You can see it better by looking right when the cutscene starts.

Helicopter Searchlight Hallway:
  • Restored a game over event when going the wrong way after the smoke room by removing a blockage and adding soldiers coming out the other end on unused routes. You can hear the previously inaccessible Ishmael voice clips here as well: "Wrong way, Ahab." "Not that way. Over here." "Where are you going?"
  • Added an extra line of Stance Button explanation: "Don't forget, you can hold the Stance Button to crawl, or tap it to crouch."
  • Added a restraint lines use when the player is forced to stop and look at the patient being killed by soldiers. 

Escape from the Helicopter Hallway:
  • Restored Ishmael animation of running from the middle of the hallway to the other end of it instead of teleporting to it when off-camera. Along with it is an inaccessible voice clip: "Here they come. Hurry!"
  • If the player isn't standing while progressing to the end of the hallway, he will say "On your feet!"
  • If the player isn't running while progressing to the end of the hallway, he will say "Can you run? Press the Dash Button!"
  • If the player is dashing while progressing to the end of the hallway, he will lift your spirit with a random one of three lines: "Not bad, Ahab!" "I underestimated you." "Good work. Keep it up!"

Curtain Room:
  • In the introduction to the Curtain Room, Ishmael will say, "I'll take a look." and shortly afterward "I'll check things out. Wait here."
  • The fourth patient killed by an XOF soldier now uses a unique VO instead of reusing the first one.

Hiding Amongst Corpses:
  • Ishmael will use only unique along with unused voice clips when explaining the corpse hiding sequence. After "We're sitting ducks. Blend in with the bodies." he will instead say "Face down." and then "We gotta crawl. Keep it slow and go steady."
  • Added two more lines for reacting to the player moving while hiding among corpses, "Get down before they see you!" "Are you crazy? Hit the deck!"

Gun Tutorial:
  • Ishmael will randomly say a different variation of the "Destroy it." line in the Japanese version.
  • Ishmael will play an unused idle animation at the start of the fire extinguisher sequence, and an unused transition into the idle before the shootout sequence after the end of the fire extinguisher sequence.
  • If the player doesn't aim their weapon for 10 seconds after the start of the fire extinguisher sequence or at the start of the shootout, he will reiterate the instructions for using weapons with an unused line: "Forget how to shoot? Hold down the Aim Button and then press the Attack Button."
  • After the player is damaged by the enemy soldiers, Ishmael will say "Shit... Are you alright?"
  • After shooting Ishmael the first two times, he will react with an unused grunt and admonish the player with these two lines: "Hey, watch where you point that thing!" "You idiot, it's me!" He will die on the third shot.
  • If the player doesn't stand up the whole sequence for 20 seconds before or after the gunfight, he will instruct you to stand up with "Can you stand? Try pressing the Stance Button." and react to you standing up with "Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Follow me."
  • For either shooting the fire extinguisher near the burning door or making non-fatal hits on the enemy soldiers, he will say "Good job!" "Nice!" and after making more non-fatal hits on the enemy soldiers, he will instead say "Well done." "You just might survive this after all."
  • Combined used and unused lines for a new system of Ishmael's negative reactions to player inactivity during the gunfight. If you don't make any hits on the enemy soldiers, he will now say "Here they come. Get it together." "Damn it..." in addition to a line he already says in this context, "Calm down, you can do this." The latter one of the two unused lines has also had its subtitles restored and its multilingual versions implemented.
  • If Ishmael is forced to shoot the enemy soldiers after a certain amount of time, he will say the lines "Hurry up and get with the program." "You can do better." in this context instead of being part of the waiting lines. He will also say the first line if the player shoots the soldier on the right first instead of the one one the left, going against Ishmael's instructions.

Man on Fire in the Lobby:
  • After 30 seconds, instead of doing nothing on an existing timer, the Man on Fire will disable his "chase mode" and teleport to you and leave a fire trail.

Man on Fire Ride:
  • During the introduction to the sequence, after "Use this!" Ocelot will say "You've got six shots - you'll need to time your reloads!"
  • Ocelot will only say "Shoot him!" when you aim your weapon. He will then only say "Careful - that gun's slow to reload!" when you shoot it.
  • If you don't aim your weapon at all, when the Man on Fire starts his first game over attack, Ocelot will say "Have you lost your mind?!" and if you haven't shot it yet, "Shoot him! Keep him back!"
  • Reworked reactions to the Man on Fire's game over attack windup. He will only say either one of these lines: "He's coming!" "Shoot him, now!" "Fill that bastard full of lead!"
  • Reworked reactions to the Man on Fire's burst attack windup. He will only say either one of these lines: "Fire!" "Now!"
  • Reworked reactions to being damaged. If the player is damaged by the burst attack, Ocelot will only say one of these lines: "Shoot him! Don't let him attack!" "Watch for an opening!" "Fire just as he's about to attack!"  If the player is damaged while reloading, he will say one of these three: "Watch it! You're vulnerable when you reload!" "Time your reloads carefully!" "You have six shots. Try and keep count!"
  • If Ocelot is damaged by the firewall attack, he will use one of the three unique reaction grunts, calm the horse down with one of these three lines: "Easy now." "Whoa!" "Stoy, stoy!", and then say either one of these three lines: "Son of a-!" "That all you got?" "Hey, we're just getting warmed up!"
  • While riding past falling trees, Ocelot will use unique VO for reacting to the horse jumping.
  • After saying "Back from the dead, huh?" he will say the unused line "Fight like a man!"
  • When the Man on Fire temporarily vanishes, Ocelot will say the unused line "Guess he gave up..." after "We shook him off..."
  • After the Man on Fire reappears, the correct timer will be started and Ocelot will say "Gah!" "Give it up!" "Go back to hell!"
  • Before getting close to the end, Ocelot will say "Nearly there now!" "Just hold him off a little longer!"
