A quick fix to make the gamma of MGS3 very close to the PS3 version.
Uses reshade and Lift Gamma Gain effect from SweetFX, should be compatible with every resolution mod.
The preset was based directly on screenshots from PS3 emulated with RPCS3, which results with gamma much more faithful to the PS2 version, than either 360 version (crushed blacks) or PC/Master Collection (washed out image).
It will also work with MGS2, however, I can't guarantee if the results will be as accurate, as I don't have other versions of MGS2 on my PC to compare to right now. In the screenshots you can see comparison between fixed, PS3 and vanilla version.
Installation: 1. Install reshade as usual 2. Extract the archive to the game folder
It'll replace the default preset and bypass the setup process.
If you want to apply it manually by yourself, install Lift Gamma Gain from SweetFX repository with settings: [LiftGammaGain.fx] RGB_Gain=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 RGB_Gamma=0.872001,0.872001,0.872001 RGB_Lift=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 Includes a ReShade or other visual Preset
