This firearm is great at making Zero (Z) feel less awkward to play, as he now can have a full set of weapons reminiscing his original kit. However, Zero series were designed to be more demanding than any other sub-series of Mega Man and that is how they wanted to design this character. While he is that in theory, he also ended up generally too weak for how this game is designed, because they made him oriented about picking out single enemies, as he would in a small Gameboy screen, whereas this game fills the screen with enemies constantly. Yamme's Buffs mod does him some justice and fairly well on top of that. Now, when it comes to this particular mod, the author let bit too much of their fantasy out when making the Skills of this weapon and the result is overpowered, which misses the point of playing as Zero (Z). You can always just not upgrade the Skills, however, I do think there are some decent ideas at play here: stunning enemies on being shot slows them down and interrupts their attacks, which gives Zero (Z) much needed crowd control. That would be perfectly fine, if it was shorter. So here is my suggestion for fellow players on how to approach this mod:
1. Use it only on Zero (Z). 2. Unlock only the first three skills from top left (Ruthless Legend, Buster ★2 and Needy Gunman). 3. Modify the Skill Table to shorten the effect of Stun at Defense Reduction to lowest possible integer value, which is one second: 3.1. Open \Tables\CONDITION_TABLE.json and change "n_DURATION" to 1 where it is 5 in keys, which also have "s_DURING_SE" mentioning the word "numb" or "pmdown01". 3.2. Open \Tables\SKILLTEXT_TABLE.json and adjust the key with "SKILL_TIP_661661", so it says 1s instead of 5s.
Dude, it's an excellent addon. But I need to make some additions: first, the weapon model within the game is a little "blurry", very inconsistent with the quality of the hunters' 3D models (I play with max graphics settings). And secondly, your modded weapon is f*#@ing overpowered! In the original game it wasn't even that powerful compared to the buster built into Zero's arm in the X saga because he is a ancient, cheap ass 9mm machinepistol who has been used for ages by a dead guy, but in this mod, it is very unbalanced. If you removed this paralyzing effect that it causes on enemies or reduced its cadence a little, I think it would be much better. But other than that, I see that you have a future creating mods. Do you plan to continue doing more of these? I hope so.
1. It was intentional to have this weapon to cause both stun and defense break status to mirror the original source. Omega for stun and Zero Z for defense break 2. Currently I've made some other weapon mods already in a Modding discord server but some of might not get to be release on Nexus due to various reason like copy cats that can cause conflict with the mods 3. In the early process of making this weapon, it was MUCH more unbalanced and WAY more broken than this. 250% speed buff, 1000% def break and stun, spammable HS bullets, etc... 4. The reason it was blurry was because i was using the texture and model directly from the game, but I had some help on improving the texture to be less ugly like how taicom made it. Plus i want to make an actual fun to use weapon instead of the boring meta balance like taicom 5. If you called this unbalanced then you ain't see nothing with things in the modding discord server 😎
That one is in the making. So far I've already finished Omega Saber and NDAX Buster, which arguably the most OP weapon in game along with Ultimate Buster and a weapon from the modding discord server called Anomaly Waker/Cube Buster
