To utilize this properly, you need to have installed both of these, along with their dependencies.

Then once that's all been done you simply put in any one of the folders in BepInEx\mods inside the game's base folder.
The folders have been categorized as follows:

PSX - Mega Man X4 | [JP]
PSX - Mega Man X5
PSX - Mega Man X6
