About this mod

Inspired by the idea of the data cores from MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf, Data-Spiked mechs have a wider variety of improvements than the data core enhanced mechs and all that power is now yours. Enjoy. I have a lot of fun making these, I have tested them numerous times but in instant action game mode only.

Please keep me updated if you believe there are any bugs or issued that need fixing and I'll see what I can do. THESE MODS WILL CONFLICT WITH OTHER MODS THAT EDIT THE SAME THINGS DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO HAVE COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MODS LIKE YAML OR PIRATETECH.

Files edited: Loadout & MDA files. (DSX & DSXV variants will probably also have their HPS files edited as well.

Variants
DS: speed, armor, handling, cooling, heat capacity, upgrade trait qty, base chassis weight, hardpoints, loadout options.
DSV: Same thing as DS but added BAP, ECM, & MASC.
DSX: Everything the DSV has but further improved HPs (bigger/better weapons)
DSXV: Everything the DSX has but further improved Missile HPs (bigger/better)

Data-Spike Mods are back. I apologize for all those that were hoping for updates and fixes. A lot of things happened including losing my previous nexus account, moving, losing my computer, and more. However, I am back and this time, I am going to attempt to make all of these mods standalone, not having to install any other mods for them to work as intended.

The reason for this is because there was some criticism by some folks that didn't like having to download multiple mods just to use one mod. Even though it's not hard at all to do so, to each their own. I will still be doing mods similar to the ultralight mods I used to do, and these will be intended to replace those.
Going forward I will also attempt to make several different variants of each mod to cater to different gameplay difficulty preferences. In the past people have criticized me for making mods that were too overpowered and made you feel almost unkillable. So, expect to see multiple variants of the same mod each having a loadout designed a little differently based on how easy the gameplay will be.

You will be able to know which is which by their names, the base variant mod name will have a designation: "DS" and the remaining variant will use roman numerals in increments of 5. (EX: DS, DSV, DSX, & DSXV). The base variant will always have the lowest feeling of being overpowered while the DSXV variant will always give you the strongest feeling of being overpowered.

Note: if you die in a DSXV or the DSX variant you should probably quit the game. LOL just kidding but seriously the game is so stupid easy in these variants, and I do not recommend using them often except for just messing around in instant action. They just make the campaign too easy with individual weapon groups being able to down most mechs in seconds sometimes even 1 volley depending on the weapon group and where you hit them.

Most of, if not all of, these mods will not be conforming to lore so leave the lore complaints at the door. They all will improve the mechs combat ability in multiple different ways. I hope you all enjoy and if not, whatever lol. You can't please everyone.
