=(Leopard Expanded Interior v5.5 is out!)= install information is available in the description tab,
to all those who have supported this Mod thank you, know i have not abandoned it, i am working on adding more to this mod, and its Updated to work with the new MW5 DLCRise of Rasalhague. Thank you and i hope to see you on the Battlefield MechWarriors!
P.S. ive changed the Version numbers recently to make navigating changes easier.
I really love this mod and want to use it but unfortunately I can't because it massacres my frame rate, I've tried loading it both first and last in the load order but that didn't change anything, loading it last was argueably a marginal improvement but still really slow. I hope you manage to get this issue figured out because the leopard feels way too small without it. I love the work you are doing and I really hope you continue to work on this mod.
Request - a completely empty, tiny Leopard Interior with just the NPC's and a row of consoles necessary for progressing the campaign, that's it. 0 resource utilisation.
For me, the latest version is unbelievably broken. Hangar doors on the back of the leopard just show black wall behind them (no access to the room with ball anymore, for example). The stairs next to commander's quarters are showing symptoms of the infamous "stairs blocked" bug - can't go above them. What little is possible to see is still as dark as it was before.
I love the concept of this mod, but sometimes I wonder, if releases are even tested *single time* before being thrown to Nexus. With regret and all due respect, reverting back to the "better lightning no fog" hangar, until the mess is somehow sorted out... Pity, cause effort and love is clearly shown here, but the releases shouldn't be seen as "pre alpha" canary channel.
what you describe i havent had an issue with since back in version 1.6. the issue then and what you describe is an error with the (Leopard_Interior_STM.uasset) which creates the black walls. ive looked into the issue and cant seem to replicated it, what other mods do you have installed? any mod that changes the (Leopard_Interior_STM.uasset) would break this mod.
and yes i do test this several times before a release, as such in the event of a critical error. such was the case with v5.4 on its first release, i tried to fix the issue as soon as i can and get the changes out.
Thank you for the explanation, and take my excuses for suspecting it was uploaded without testing.
I do not have any other mods that modify Leopard_Interior_STM.uasset. Strange, as previous versions worked for me with exactly same other mods enabled, apart from the bugs that were also confirmed on your side. I will try it with all other mods disabled, and if it helps, try to identify the culprit.
Apart from that, the point about very dark surroundings in many parts of the mod still stands, I guess. Cheers!
I had the same issuewith walls behind doors, in my case it is a conflict with Xenopax- Optimize 2.99a, because it modifies Leopard_Interior_STM.uasset I had to remove all mods I installed from Epic client and reinstall them through Nexus, so I could control the mod order in order to fix this.
this beautiful mod kills my fps on my NASA super computer if setting on max (no RT) :\ - looks like it got to do something with the reflections & lightnings tip - try edit creating the mod on low setting as possible for now ill don't use this nice mod and i hope its just for now hope it get updated thanks o7 keep up ...
Great mod, thank you for your hard work. Despite loving it and nothing wrong to say about it, this is FPS killer for me, like crazy. dropped from +60 to -10 at the lowest. I understand, you 're aware about this. I'll just wait till it's fixed. Until it's done (if planned) do you have any advise on graphics options setup eventually?
Thanks for this. It really adds to my immersion in the game.
EDIT: I did some exploring. The work is amazing. My only complaint is that some of the areas are a little too dark IMO. The Mech Bay itself is very dark as is the command center. I thought I remembered being able to go on the bridge in your previous iterations but I could not find my way up there with this one. As you continue to improve this version, I think it would feel more lived in if there were a few more crewmen doing task and perhaps areas where MechWarriors or crew would be lounging, meeting or involved in some recreation like playing cards or reading. Just a few here and there would make the ship feel more alive. Great work!
way up to the Bridge is still there, its near your personal Room. let me know if you get stuck ive been working on changing door sizes to make sure players have access now.
i am planing on adding more NPCs, and also looking into adding interactions where they will say random Quotesbut still working on that.
The only place I got stuck was those two yellow doors that are set into the floor and open to reveal stairs. You have to be very precise to enter those doors and descend the stairs. If you are off just a bit you walk right out over the open door and float there.
OK. I found the way to the bridge right where you said it was. It was so dark in that corner that I could not see anything. I walked into the blackness and the door opened and I made my way up there. I already had my Brightness set to 4 so I raised it to 6. I am a little concerned on how this going to affect my visuals when dropping and exiting the DropShip on a bright day. With it at 6 I can see the staircase from the command center to the bridge but it is still a bit dark.
I saw that version 5.5 was out so I excitedly downloaded it and tried it. The lighting is somewhat better but there are still some really dark areas. I was able to go to all the new areas and look around. I had turned my brightness from 4 to 6 with the last version as you suggested so I turned it back to 4 with this version. It might be better to just go with 5 because some areas are too dark.
I also noticed that walking on the catwalk in the Mech Bay and looking right then left then back I was getting a lot of frame stuttering. I have a pretty high end system with the AMD 5800x3D and a Radeon 6950XT, 32 GB RAM and the game installed on a Gen 4 Nvme M.2 drive. Stuttering has never been an issue before but I had to turn shadows down to medium to smooth things out with the mod installed.
ya 5.5 was put out before i was completely happy with the lighting, it seems like most people play at -Display Brightness 4- right now setting it to 5 makes the brightness acceptable for most people.
some like the darker setting of the dropship, feeling its more atmospheric, i know not everyone feels this way. so to try to find a happy medium, players may set to -Display Brightness 4- as to have those darker games. others may turn it up to -Display Brightness 5- to have abit more light and see abit better in the mech bays.
i am still working on it as im not 100% happy with the light everywhere as i feel its not consistent everywhere, but for now i think 5.5 is the best its been and im happy with how its looking, even though im still working on it.
Thanks. I also wanted to mention that those yellow doors set into the floor that you can use after leaving the cockpit and heading back down to the Mech Bay are still problematic. You have to hit them just right or you walk out over open air instead of descending them. Perhaps they could be made a little wider so you do not have to be so precise in entering them?
Thanks for all your hard work in creating and evolving this mod.
new version 5.5 is out, worked on more lighting issues, as well as some FPS drop issues. sadly most of the FPS drops are because of issues with backed shadows not baking properly, i think i may have to head to Home Eck, jokes aside and working on the issue, and looking for solutions.
the new added areas are awesome, but the lighting is too dark! i don't know if it's because of my load order or anything.
EDIT: Yup... load order problem. i loaded it last (highest priority) and i fixed it... still kinda dark tho unlike the screenshots. and as others have stated, battlemech screens are floating.
Screens are no longer floating, was fixed in version 3.3 working on the lighting and shading issues right now, im having this odd issue where the render in editor doesnt match in game, so working on tuning everything up, but its alot of trial and error, you can turn your display brightness upto 6 and that may help.
