New DLC is coming out and there are supposed to be heavy turrets (which is going to mean some kind of revamped turret system, I'd theorize). I suppose this mod is sadly going to reach a point where it will be forced to be updated or will be rendered unusable. Hopefully it's the former and not the latter.

Yes, the mod still pretty much works, however make sure it loads before YAML. The mod is semi-deprecated, but with overrides that YAML provides it functions well enough.
Regardless, it would be great if the mod got a significant update with options support (to disable just artillery turrets, at the very least), updated names, more loadouts, timeline respecting loadouts, etc.
Still a solid mod, though, and worth using for the difficulty increase it provides.
I hear reports this mod doesnt work with YAML, but I dont know, havent tested it, but I wanted to say that while I used this mod in the past it was awesome and wanted to thank the author.
Running the older ver of mw 1.1.328, can confirm that the longtom in the scaryturret mod isnt playing nice with other mods, couldn't equip the long tom ammo, ended up disabling it
This mod seems to work for me, except for the fact that the outline of the target that's supposed to pop up in the upper right when you target a turret is missing, and instead there's just a white square. Does anyone know the cause or have any idea what I can do to fix it? Thanks!
Had this and just fixed it by loading Scary Turrets before YAML/YAW. I used MW5 LOM to fix the load order. Hope this helps for anyone else out there with this same issue.
Hey, can you guys make this mod work with the HP multiplier in YAML?
The game is MUCH harder with x10 HP on Tanks, Turrets, VTOLs, but without Scary Tanks/Turrets, they are boring to kill cuz they are not dangerous.
Exception: Ravager Turrets from Exploration missions, at x10 HP, are f'kng insane. But the rest is boring as they are not dangerous but just harder to kill.
Playing with the latest update and really enjoying the variety of turret and added challenge but...finding so much lostech even at the start of the game, i could understand or not mind the MPL but i keep finding LPL and MPL ,even some Gauss ones. I understand it might be a conflict with other mods in certain missions, but it seems to happen in every one (at least the pulse lasers case, not so much gauss )
