Jump jets for every weight class are more expensive, jump higher, refuel faster between jumps, and provide "antigravity" weight effects. Jets for heavier mechs are more expensive and remove more tons than jets for lighter mechs, but basic jump stats are all the same.

I used the Unreal Engine MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries Editor official software to create this mod by altering the vanilla game assets. I did not do any actual coding myself. Thanks to Unreal and Piranha Games for making a cool game and then making modding fairly simple.

Changelogs
Version 1.2
Tweaked ALL the values compared to version 1.0, and tested compatibility with game version 1.1.300.
Heavier mechs get more bonus weight reduction from equipping jets than lighter mechs do now.
Heavier mechs fly slower and recharge jets more slowly than smaller mechs do.
Prices adjusted to be not so extreme.
Heavy and assault mechs cost a few C-Bills to install or remove, but it only takes less than a day to complete each one.
Light and medium mechs are FREE to install and remove, but it still takes less than a day to complete each one.
All burn times set to 5.0 seconds, the longer time in version 1.0 proved to be ridiculous and dangerous - end up blowing up both legs upon landing if you jumped full height LOL. 5.0 seconds is much more reasonable.
Version 1.0
Jump jets are more expensive, jump a bit higher, refuel faster, and have "antigravity" to make your mech lighter weight when equipped.
Each weight class of jump jet has the same jump and refuel stats but bigger ones are more expensive and reduce weight by more tons
All weight classes are modded.
NOTE: THIS MOD IS CONSIDERED CHEATING AND IT WILL MAKE THE GAME A BIT EASIER FOR YOU. IT WILL BREAK THE OFFICIAL LORE A BIT, TOO. ESSENTIALLY IT GIVES YOU BETTER JUMP JETS AND ALLOWS YOU TO STACK MORE WEIGHT ONTO A MECH LOADOUT THAN YOU SHOULD TECHNICALLY BE ALLOWED TO HAVE. IF THESE ARE THINGS THAT CONCERN YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE A HARDCORE STICKLER FOR THE OFFICIAL BATTLETECH/MECHWARRIOR RULE SET, PERHAPS THIS MOD IS NOT FOR YOU.
Built and tested for game version 1.1.300 (the June 2021 update). DLC not required. No dependencies on other mods.
All jump jets now have the following altered properties:
1. Cheaper and faster install/repair work. 2. Makes your mech a few tons LIGHTER!! (Throw on a jump jet and then you can fit more armor or bigger guns!) Bigger mechs get more tons. 3. SLIGHTLY increased flight speed. Smaller mechs fly faster. 4. MUCH more expensive!! Steal some as salvage after a mission, and then sell it so you can afford a new mech! Of course you probably don't want to buy these from the market anymore because of this price increase. 5. Extended flight time to 5 seconds, and decreased the recharge time by about half. Smaller mechs recharge jets faster than heavier mechs.
These effects work on ALL mechs: yours as well as the enemies. But it doesn't change their basic loadouts, so if you're only playing against the AI enemies this should be no problem (since AI seems to avoid ever using jump jets anyway).
This mod only alters the Mech equipment "Jump Jets" of every weight class. It works with most other mods, except those that also alter the jump jet files.
To answer the unasked question: No, I will not spend any more time on this mod; it works on my computer so I consider it to be done. I will not make an alternate "less cheaty" version or "moon jump" version either, if you want something like that feel free to get into the MW5 editor and make your own mod, it's easy - I've never used the mod editor before and these two mods (Cheat_Sink and Cheat_Jets) took me about half a day of actual work to figure out how to do it and get it done. It's not that hard as long as you keep things simple like this mod does. :) Happy gaming.
