This is at the end of the final campaign mission if you stay to defeat all incoming comstar mechs (33) in total. On February 25th MagnumForceGB was nice enough to release the "full instant action" mod as a standalone item that allowed all tiers of weapons to be used in instant action. A day after I decided to put the mod to full use on instant action and rigged up (4) full tier banshees (BNC -3S) to see if I could fight my way to the back of the map to take a nice look at the union dropships. Despite being in many trailers the union dropship only appears in the final mission in an impossible to reach location (there is an invisible barrier that prevents you from getting any closer). I must say it is a beautifully designed dropship model. I felt it was a bit of a shame not to let everyone see it up close in-game.

Ah, I see. I've yet to finish the campaign because I'm too busy building my perfect mech compliment. It would be nice if we could have our own union dropship.
What a coincidence as I just started work on planning an overhaul mod that will include upgrading from the Leopard to something that canonically can house a company of mechs (3 lances worth). This Union class dropship was briefly on my list of considerations, but ultimately it is too small and doesn't have the storage space for more than one lance at the ready.
What do y'all think of a quest to salvage a Carrack merchant transport for use as a more functional operations vessel?
