Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Aztez now FREE on the Epic Games store

  • Comment
A quick heads up if you've missed it: Kingdom Come: Deliverance is now available for free on the Epic Games store until 20th February (the regular price for the game is ~£24.99 or currency equivalent, so this is a big one). Make sure to grab it alongside Aztez - a unique hybrid of beat 'em up and turn-based strategy - also available free of charge!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a critically acclaimed RPG that immerses you in an epic adventure taking place in the Holy Roman Empire. Featuring a realistic medieval setting KCD offers hours upon hours of content, several DLCs, as well as modding tools provided by the developers Warhorse Studios.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance along with Aztez is now available for free on the Epic Games store. If you are in need for an epic, moddable RPG, then make sure to grab it before 20th February.

While a 100% discount is very hard to beat, note that KCD is also available on both GOG and Steam and currently discounted by 50% on both platforms.

Once you got your hands on a copy of KCD, make sure to check out the vast catalogue of mods available on our site, or maybe even check out the modding tools and get creative yourself. If the latter sounds appealing to you, make sure to check out our KCD modding documentation.

Great news! would be nice if this news was RELEVANT given that its is JULY.
Seriously, remove this from front pages. no reason to have a free game offer from 4 months ago on a front page.

Welcome to the internet, where people will complain, attack, and argue over a formerly $69.99 game (Now $39.99), being offered for FREE.

Ridiculousness like this make me look forward to the next K-T Boundary event.

Welcome to the Internet where people learned that NOTHING IS FREE and there is ALWAYS a catch. ;)

ps: If someone misses this or wants the game DRM free and cheaper (when not free) GOG has it on sale $14.99 of their $29.99 "DRM FREE as games should be" normal price.

No need to explain, first line it's my opinion and like you... we all have one.
Second one it's well letting everyone know where they can get it with no DRM.
Keep throwing the fish line eventually someone will get the bait and keep you entertained. Enjoy your sunday

Ah, well, keep casting lines, maybe you'll get someone else to bite, but I'm done, as I'm not wasting my time with somebody who makes assertions without anything to back it up. Bye.

The catch is having to make an account with Epic Games Store, which has had many data leaks, and is run by a company with close ties to- via investment meaning they have little chance of complaining if push comes to shove- a large Chinese corporation, which all have huge influences from their dictatorial government. No tinfoil hat needed, simply a little bit of research.

Just an fyi, did a bit of research on Epic Games. There's been literally no good evidence supporting several claims people say about the service. I haven't had any issues and I've used them for at least a year now--do some more research instead of spilling non-sense. However, if any of these claims are true as you have said; please show some supporting evidence. Because I'm pretty sure everyone would want to avoid losing anything from a potential scam. But so far, there's nothing that has led me, or several others, to believe that it is what you claim it is.

Yep, I've seen no reliable evidence about any of these claims. Just angry reddit posts going on about why bother because Steam.

When i see another copied from cheatsheet complain about EG and Tencent i realize that this person in net another idiot.
Tencent ALSO have some part of Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, Paradox Interactive, Mail.ru, Riot Games, Platinum Games and few others that work for PC/console platforms. I'm 10000000000% sure and can bet a life of myself that you and many others stupid people like you, whos complain about that, have played games from those companies and have an account in Battle.net and Uplay.

The truth is- EVERYONE collecting information about you in net, welcome to the 21st century. The Search engine that you use to serfing net is collecting data about you(Google, Yahoo, Yandex, etc). a STEAM has always collect data, even your PC specs, since he became a multi-sale platform for other publishers. A Battle.net is owned by one of the most greed company of the gamedev- Activision, and trust me, they're collecting all info about everyone even beyond of their launcher. In fact, there exist a companies that offering a collecting data about specific groups of people, potential customers, they are collecting/buying/re-selling data about market and provides an analyzes of anything, providing a better information what to sell and how to sell it. Thats how WORKS MARKETING in 21st century.

And so what a problem? it's like, idk : "Oh NoOoOoOo a China collecting information about me, WhEn ThEy StArT WaR AnD InVaDe My CoUnTrY ThEy GoNnA kNow EvErYtHiNg AbOuT My GaMiNg InTeReStS and WheRe i'm LivInG and My CrEdIt CaRd, It'S goNnA bE lEaKeD"

Like Steam had no data leaks about personal info of users, he HAD, and not only login and passwords of users database, but also personal ifo aka credit cards.

On Feb 20th, it will be Faeria and Assassin's Creed Syndicate that are free.

Man, I wish I had known about the free game thing a long time ago.

I find it very interesting to see an article like this on the Nexus. How many free games have been offered over the years by other gaming services, yet this is the first to hit the news section for this site?

In fact, KCD was first offered for free on GOG months ago, but that flew under the radar. In the last few days I've seen several other sites pushing this exact same deal.

Thanks, but no thanks. I will never use a service that resorts to the sleezy tactics Epic has employed. Not to mention their close ties to Tencent.

I agree wholeheartedly, and that's why I'd urge caution in expressing that perfectly reasonable sentiment. It clearly gets a LOT of push back. Just scroll down and you'll see I speak from experience.

Made a copy of the Win64MasterMasterEpicPGO folder, renamed it into Win64 and threw it where the original two folders are. Not working, Vortex still gives an error claming it doesn't see the executable file when it's sitting there.

Any and all suggestions more then welcomed.

Hey I've done the fix in the pinned comment, I've gone in and checked the file locations and the mods are there in the correct place and yet not a single mod will work and I have absolutely no idea why.

I tested a handful before posting that and they all appeared to work.

i have the same problem. I do the workaround, the mods are there in the "mods Folder" but they dont work ingame.

I try to use: "Unlimited Savings", "Durability Fix"; Lockpicking overhaul" and "Aiming Dot"

Ok, so I'm not sure you gave me the correct mod names but here's my findings:

      Bow Dot Reticle - https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/13?tab=description
This is not a "mod" it's a simple config file. If you double click the mod in Vortex and set the "modtype" to "dinput" it will install correctly.

      Unlimited Saving - https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/1
      Installs fine.

Durable weapons and armors - https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/262?tab=description
      Installs fine.

      Lockpicking Overhaul - https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/3
      Installs fine.

Edit: I misread a couple of file names before, so I've updated my post.
