this mod is a nice homage to the warlord of mars so it seemed right to name my character john carter. Theres been alot of thought and effort put into it particularly on character models, weapons, armour, mounts, and world icons so far and i cant wait to see where its gonna go as its only just come out and is currently an alpha. needs more recognition ASAP especially from classic golden age scifi fans. some things which i think could improve the experience are as follows: the lasgun sound effect would sound better if it had more of a zap to it, the sky and atmosphere of the planet may be better suited to be red/ similar to mars instead of the vanilla sky although this planet is not explicitly said to be mars and so may have its own justifications for a blue sky although i believe it would be more immersive to have a red/ orange/yellow sky. the biggest improvement i can see needed is to do with the cities and towns. whilst the odd asset is added it feels quite vanilla and not very alien like. i think that architecture similar to the ruins would fit well in towns and cities. if you could try to diversify this architecture for different faction territories even better. maybe some with huge towering skyskraperesque structures. furthermore i think a great addition would be some new ambient pieces as the vanilla just does not feel right. a minor improvement could be the art used during menus and screens, instead of vanilla use the works of michael whelan as it is perfect !! (if its legal) keep up the good work and continue updating because this is as close as were getting to a warlord from mars game lol.
