I was wondering, this may sound like a stupid question but is there a non-winter version of this aside from the original Rising Sun mod? Without all the snow?

Hi, i recently play this mod after being addicted to gekokujo daimyo. Overall this is a great mod to try. by the way is there a way to change menu background color? it's too contrast that make my eyes feel dizzy. If the editing is complicated, at least can i change menu font color that some of them unreadable such as weeklycost/money/morale in party menu and pay/receive in market menu. Very much appreciated for any suggest or tutorial
Im not a modder at all, just a casual player. :D

Hello NaziPunk434! I'm a fan of your work.

EDIT! The original post in parenthesis, I discovered I goofed.

Rather, my request is, could you increase the thrusting damage of the spears a bit? They were heavily effective in penetrating the weak points in armor, and I prefer them when a Samurai Master Gunner is charging me with a katana. When in combat neither my spear of Katana suffice and he wins just because of his armor. While I would've lost anyways because there was ten of them, I felt that I should've at least taken down one with my spear.

P.S. Standing animations, like putting hands behind back, holding sword professionally, hugging rifle?

P.P.S Is it possible to bring revolvers back? If not that's fine! It's not a huge deal to me.

    ORIGINAL POST:
(You're a very talented modder and I enjoy both your Rising Sun and American Revolution modifications! I hope you're still doing some great work! I was wondering if I could make a request. I absolutely love this mod, but the only thing that breaks my immersion is the upward yari swing. I've seen some mods, and mods of mods that will replace the upward swing with an upward thrust with the spear instead. I'm wondering if this is possible for this mod.

Now I'm aware this is only for one-handed spears, I just wanted to give an example. I believe it can be done with two-handed spears. I don't know if you can port the animation from a musket, similar to Napoleonic Wars. This would make battles extremely better in my opinion, rather than seeing spears being thrown over people's heads every few seconds. Spears dominated the times after all! They could poke at the weak spots in armor and did tons of damage, way better than the sword.)

Hi! Just found out about this mod and I am very excited to try this out considering I've been addicted to Rising Sun during the past two weeks.

I just wanted to ask though if you've rebalanced the overpowered Saga Infatry/Saga Veteran Infantry that was present in the original Rising Sun mod? If you're not familiar with this, basically, the Saga Infantry, which is the equivalent basic Line Infantry unit of Saga Domain available just after the Saga Spearman, is actually equipped with Spencer Rifles. Spencer Rifles are those 100% accurate, repeating rifles that are possibly the most expensive thing in the game.

Let me repeat that for you: BASIC Line Infantry of Saga Domain have LASER ACCURATE REPEATING RIFLES.

I myself love the Spencer rifle when I work hard to get it so that I can equip my companions with it, but when I realize that basic line infantries are also using these, its charm loses its effect -- even more so when all challenge goes out the window. I fought an enemy army with 150 men, and my 50 Saga Infantry managed to cut them down within 9 seconds from the moment the enemy went into line of sight.

I'm thinking this was unintentional as the Saga Infantry and Saga Veteran Infatry are the only ones who have this epic repeating rifle, while the "upgrade" Saga Elite Infantry actually goes back to mere breech loading Springfield rifles which are a lot worse than the spencer repeating rifle -- or more accurately, the Springfields are more balanced in comparison to the Spencer.

    ---
    EDIT:
I just tried it, but it seems there's something awfully wrong with the UI scaling. The letters are so small that I have to make an extra effort to read anything that shows up.

Thanks for the comment. No, I was not aware of the overpowered Saga domain and I'll get on re-balancing them. I did however, notice the problem with the Spencer rifle after I released the mod and it will be toned down. My apologies for the font size, that's just how I have it set because my monitor is rather large. I've been working on releasing an update and I hope to get it out soon, but I've been a little busy with two other big projects I've been working at. I promise it will be, released within a rather short time-frame, though. Thanks for your patience with those annoyances!

Aren't the Satsuma Skirimishers also equipped with Spencer rifles?

If you don't mind, could you set it to be the same size as the font as the Rising Sun?

Just got around to playing the new update. Great changes on the UI! I can play this continuously now since I no longer have to squint my eyes to read the text.

Hi! Why arenĀ“t revolvers in your mod? I like them form original mod. And one another question about installation, I downloaded only second file named Update (1.1) and game is fully playabl... is original mod file from january needed to download and patch it with that february update? Because both files are same size.

Can you enlarge the text? its very difficult to read it, the original mod had normal sized font but i find it near impossible to read whats on screen in this version. Background doesn't contrast text enough either.

Thanks for the great mod though!

    Hi, great mod so far.
However, I have found a bug: women have a glitch in some parts of their faces and these parts appear white as a nonexistant part in their texture, material or mesh.

Thanks, keep up the good work.

Thanks for letting me know, the face thing totally slipped over my head during testing. I fixed the issue and a new version will be up soon with hopefully more tightened up features.

Great! But I have found another bug. Firstly, when I removed my character armor-clothes, it appears normal. After some days, when I do that, the character doesn't appear with it's underwear, but rather with an all white or pink(?) invisible suit, a bug that I'm seeing in other npc, such as lords. Thanks. Amazing mod with great balance.

I have added the update and, sorry to tell you, the bugs mentioned remain, but in normal (nor geisha) female faces the white parts are mostly gone; yet the white-ish invisible suit persists. Minor bugs tho, because its a great mod. Thanks!

Thanks for your support, and I'll try my best to work around those weird annoyances and get a patch out soon. Cheers!
