I've been avoiding this mod for a while now purely because of the title you've given it & I bet others have too. To me it just seems an inappropriate name for a serious mod. 'Lions Of Calradia' came to mind but that has already been used in another warband mod, so If it has to be cat related how does 'Lionhearts' sound to you? Anyway, I always thought that Floris looked good but seemed to get boring very quickly & after a few attempts I've always been disappointed with the bugs & the lack of 'atmoshere' & have never actually finished a playthrough of it. I'm glad that someone else has put out another version. I'm downloading yours now as it sounds interesting. Many thanks for sharing. Maybe now I can finally enjoy & finish it.

Great Mod. I've been having fun. Thanks for all the work you put into it.

If possible an option for skills like Surgery/Tactics to not start at 10 would be nice. I'm finding it slightly too easy to skill up everything I want.
I'm finding buying plots of land to be a far too easy way to make money. Though I like the concept of it.

Are the stats shown for the troop trees the needed stats for enlistment progression?

I've only had a couple minor issues.

    1. At some point all the info messages stopped showing up until I restarted the game.
    2. As an enlisted Swadian Horseman I was only given a Polearm/Lance/Spear type weapon. Which made the fights, like sieges, a bit awkward. Not having a one-handed sword-like weapon when the other positions up until then all get one provided.
    3. In a tournament my allies were running around punching everyone and had no weapons. Regardless of the settings, until I reset everything to default.

You cannot create a new troop tree.
Freelancers are the player's kingdom' troop tree.

    Hello!

I stumbled across this mod by accident and I'm glad I did. Apart from Cadmus' Floris Expansion, your mod seem to be only other one in existence that improves upon and enhances Floris. This pleases me greatly. Before I dive into it, though, I have one important question regarding it. It's the only thing that's not mentioned anywhere in the documentation.

Does this mod have the infamous "butter bug", where certain villages would give you only butter as loot when you raided them, that plagued older versions of Floris? That one is a dealbreaker for me because raiding enemy villages is usually how I gather most of my profits, and I wouldn't want it to be bugged out.

To the best of my knowledge, this bug is not present in the mod. I've just looted about 20 villages of different prosperity levels and belonging to different factions and didn't see that happening.

I did not fix this bug specifically because I was not aware of it. However, I did change some stuff concerning trade goods, village prosperity, and economics in general, so that might have fixed the issue.
Also, some people say that this bug has been fixed in Floris 2.55, which I used for this mod.

If you encounter this bug, please let me know, I'll look into that deeper.

If you used 2.55 as the base for your mod then I'm certain the bug won't be there. The last version that had this bug was 2.54. However, if somehow it's still there, I'll let you know.

I'm gonna need some more explanation from you, though. This time regarding the morale penalty system. How does it even work? Everything about it seems way too harsh, from what I experienced. My character started with the ability to recruit 27 people and it quickly jumped to 29. I quickly filled all the open spaces with recruits, in order to even stand a fighting chance against all of the 30 men bandit hit squads roaming around, and started slowly training them into better units through battle. After an hour or so of playing, I had a 29 men squad consisting mostly of Sarranid Militiamen, a few Sarranid Riders and Skirmishers, and two mercenary units I upgraded to from peasants I rescued from one bandit squad. Everything went buttery smooth from that point and my low-tier units turned out to be pretty competent warriors, able to take on parties consisting of way better armored units (such as Deserters), but then I suddenly get a message that my morale is critically low for some reason and my soldiers started deserting my army. Why is that even happening? I've won quite a few battles with enemies stronger than me and have more than enough food in my inventory, so going by traditional M&B rules, my morale should be pretty high. What's causing my morale to be so low?

Indeed, the morale penalty is stronger in this mod than it is in Native.
The party morale is calculated as follows: 50 (base) + 10 x Leadership (15 if player is the king) - morale_penalty + food + recent_events
Roughly, each troop in your party (except the player) adds 30/max{10, troop_level} to the morale_penalty, i.e. a tier 1 troop (e.g a recruit) increases the penalty by 3, while tier 3 troop (e.g. a skirmisher) -- by 2.
      More precisely, morale_penalty = 30 x party_size^2 / cumulative_party_level, i.e. in your case this penalty should be about 75.
Additionally, there are faction relation modifiers but those are usually pretty low.
Thus, if you, say, have 3 in Leadership and the food boosts morale by 20, your party morale will be about 30, which is pretty low.

The best way to overcome this is to invest in the Leadership skill and keep a variety of foods in your inventory. Also, be cautious when recruiting low-level troops (especially bandits), as they will damage your morale.
This morale system is one of the questionable ideas implemented in the mod and it feels quite harsh in early game but you should not experience much difficulties later when you have a bunch of high-tier troops in your party.

Well, now that you've explained it I can see why you'd make it in such a way. You made it in such a way, as if your troops were thinking of you as some random bloke who pays them to follow you around and not as their leader in the beginning - they have no respect for you and no loyalty to you, so they just run away and go home if they don't like the overall situation. It's realistic, perfectly logical and I definitely can see it working on paper. Gameplay-wise, however, it's pretty unbalanced in favor of the enemy, since in order for people to not run away from you, you can have 5-6 people at the most with you, while literally every ragtag band of looters has 20-25 men in it, and there's a ton of them roaming around - you can't throw a stone in any direction without it hitting two or three of them.

My advice would be to either rebalance the mod to be more forgiving towards the player with the whole morale thing, or make bandit parties easier by making them smaller and worse equipped, in order to make the beginning actually manageable. Basically, rebalance it so it doesn't punish the player for simply trying to play the game. Still, that's just my two cents and if you don't feel like changing anything, then don't.

I came in here, expecting all the warriors to be replaced by kittens/Khajiit. Have to say I'm a little disappointed.

Everything in this little package is a HUGE plus... except for the lowered party sizes...

    No more huge battles...

But who am I to judge. You made this for yourself and decided to upload it.

Besides, it could be a good idea to up the difficulty with the small battle sizes, 120% perhaps?

Yes, I expected that people might not like smaller party size but I find large battles too chaotic and wanted something a bit more manageable.
And with increased difficulty it really makes you think twice who you take in the party, which I like.
