    regarding mod not working
its either me or others being stupid(sry)
rockstar launcher sees changes and reverts them, so unless you bypass social club s#*! it wont work
otherwise mod is most likely functional

I own both versions and can confirm it doesn't work with the Rockstar Launcher version.

Heyhey, this seems to work now!! And it was all because of a cheated score on a scoreboard? Damn, but nice find, awesome!! I was wondering something: Im not familiar with OpenIV but does it affect MP3's multiplayer or scoring/grinds in some way? I dont play MP3 for the multiplayer nowadays, but should i refrain from entering playlists or lobbys with this mod? And will co-op still be okay? If the score got cheated out then i guess Rockstar doesnt care, but i just wanna make sure i dont get my Rockstar/Steam account accidentally flagged or VAC banned or something lol.

There's nothing to worry about, OpenIV itself doesn't do anything to Max Payne 3, it is simply a file manager and package installer, providing an easy way to mod the game with small mod packages, otherwise I would have had to distribute the edited .rpk files which are quite large! In regards to MP3, think of it like a more robust mod manager.

I feel I should mention though (if you don't play GTAV, you can disregard this!) since OpenIV is a multi-game mod tool, if you were to use OpenIV for GTAV, this is not exactly the case as that game requires you to install a DLL for it to read any modded files, which may or may not get you banned from Rockstar's servers. So while it is safe for MP3 as it doesn't require a DLL, your results may vary with GTAV!

Holy crap. You made an actual, real fix instead of something that replaces the map, only allowing you to play one map or the other? You're a legend! Gonna reinstall the game and check out your mod!

I'm kinda surprised it hadn't been found and fixed sooner, honestly! It just took me a little fiddling with a private lobby to figure something weird was going on if I could select the docks but not Hoboken, on a hunch I checked the leaderboards on RSC and saw that all the docks high scores were under a billion but that the highest Hoboken score just said "1B" which really seemed odd to me, why not display the full score? Turned out the game literally just doesn't support scores that high without crashing lmao

FINALLY had time to try your mod and it really works! Now I can finally play both maps! Your mod also fixes the crash I would get after finishing a game in the Tiete River Docks, which I assume is related to the same Leaderboard issue you talked about. Can't thank you enough!

Fun fact: years ago I tried to bring this up to Rockstar, opened a support ticket and everything. Of course they did not fix it.
