About this mod

A slight nerf for the Antaran attacks, for those who find them overpowered but still don't want to play completely without them.

The Antarans still pose some challenge, requiring you to keep some defenses behind your front lines, but they no longer force you to sacrifice either a colony or most of your entire fleet every time they attack

Permissions and credits
Originally, the strength of the attacking Antaran fleet is calculated to be on par with your total military power, this means that if all your ships were defending, you would still have chances to lose.
This makes them very annoying especially in mid-game, where your empire is already large enough so can't get home fast enough with your entire fleet, but still not so large that you can shrug off the loss of a colony every 30-40 turns.


Note: it is recommended to use it only with a new game. Activating this mod after a new game has already been started (especially after the Antarans launched their first attack) might cause the game to hang at the Antarans' next turn.


Changes for the Antaran attack fleet:

- smaller fleet
- first appearance delayed by a few dozen turns.
- frequency of attacks slightly reduced.
- probability of the largest ships slightly reduced.

Their home-world defenses are not modified.
The ship compositions are not overwritten, so other mods which change their ship designs are still effective.

The goal of this mod is for the Antarans to still pose some challenge and to require you to keep some defenses behind your front lines, while not forcing you to sacrifice either a colony or most of your entire fleet (or both) every time they attack.

It's recommended to have this mod at the end of the list, or at least after complete overhaul mods.
