About this mod

This mod adds over 100 new specials that can appear on planets in game! Some familiar and some new, they are sure to blow your mind. "Massive" planets have been removed from this version. Twelve new resource extraction structures have been added to the tech tree to grant planets incredible bonuses.

I have created over 100 custom specials which can appear on planets during galaxy generation. Specials now range from "Merchant Traders" to
"Orion Artifacts", some inspired from Master of Orion 2 and 3, and some
are completely original.

Exotic Plants:    This region has an unusual amount of rare plants useful in various medical treatments. As a result,
                         Population Growth and Research rates are higher than normal.

                         Research +5
                         Population Growth +25%

Orion Artifacts:   Remnants of ancient Orion technology found on this planet provides a massive Research bonus.

                          Research +10

Latinum Mines:   Latinum is a rare silver liquid encased in gold that is used as currency by many races, most notably
                          the Gnolam League. Mining operations on this colony generate Credits, and a source of forced labor
                          boosts Production slightly.

                          Credits +12
                          Production +3

These specials are weighted to change the state of the galaxy, some races
will simply be in a better position, some planets will now be worth
starting wars over unlike ever before. Controlling some of these
planets, or having others control them can make or break your game. So
build a few extra scouts and look around!

ALSO, not all the specials are good. Like in reality, there will likely be a few phenomena to avoid in your galaxy as well!

I have taken the "Advanced Resource Extraction" field in the tech tree
and modified it, splitting it into nine separate fields starting as
early as Biotechnology, and into fields as late in the tech tree as
Quantum Fields.

There are now a total of twelve structures in the tech tree dealing with resource extraction, creating structures that
could apply to numerous different specials. Most of these structures
can overlap onto similar resources, and some are very specific.
Utilizing the bonuses from the different structures I created, you can
lay down some or all of these structures on some specials, creating
incredible super powered planets!

You can also negate some or all of any negative effects associated with certain specials, creating
environments capable of studying or surviving with the most dangerous
creatures or elements, and harvesting even the most hazardous minerals.
