About this mod

Provides a .png image to replace the default Liara photo present in Shepard's cabin in ME2 if continuing a romance with her from ME1.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This is less a mod a more a picture that you can replace the default one used for Shepard's portrait of Liara in their cabin with. I edited the image from a screenshot from my own playthrough of ME1, with the Liara portrayed within best paired with the Liara Consistency Project version of her (which makes her look like her Lair of the Shadow Broker self--I HIGHLY recommend that mod, it's so good). Only took a little Photoshop work to add a smile, and I've been using it in my own games ever since. The image might look a little weird in photo viewer, but I edited the colors/lighting to accommodate how the game handles the image. I'd recommend against editing it.

Version 1.1 can be installed via Mass Effect Modder (MEM) without the need to insert the image manually. I've left the directions below in case you prefer manual installation.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For versions 1.0:

To install, you'll need Mass Effect Modder (I use v511). This is not the same as ME3Tweaks, but works fine alongside it. Chances are you've used this before if you have other mods that affect textures. If not, you can get it going by going under Mass Effect 2 and clicking Textures Manager.

Once its mapped everything out, please do the following:

  • Click Search Texture and type in "Liara." The top result should be BioD_Nor_000Cabin.
  • Double click that, and it will open up a second column to the right. It should automatically take you to an entry simply titled "Liara" in that second column, and you'll see the old image used for the portrait.
  • Right click that image, choose Replace Texture, and then navigate to where you have my .png file on your computer.
  • Choose it, confirm, and click Exit Texture Manager. You're good to go!

Again, this is a relatively simple change but the number of times I tend to look over at the portrait throughout my playthroughs has made it worth it. Hope you enjoy!
