This was a very good idea. I will definitely use this when I replay LE1.

Does this mod have to be installed on a new game? Or before I get that quest from Garrus?

I installed it on an existing save, where I already had the quest for Dr. Saleon from Garrus in my log but didn't complete it yet. And when I went there the experiments looked still like Thorian creepers and not the zombies in the pictures.

I have the latest version of M3TweaksModManager and it shows that this mod is installed.

I think the problem is I already had that quest in my log when I installed this mod. Will know for sure when I will run new character as I will definitely keep it in my mod list

But anyway I like that you did this, because it always bothered me in OT that they looked like Thorian creepers and didn't have anything to do with them. So thanks

It shouldn't matter when you install it at all. Would you mind to send me a diagnostic as explained in here?

      Sure, see the link below.

      https://me3tweaks.com/modmanager/logservice/logviewer?logid=2fa3f9b4a4633acf1419f13553e7184c

When I looked there I can see, that I forgot unlink the back-up for the OT before I uninstalled those games and deleted the backups. Was making more space on my HDD and decided that I won't play the OT right now, when I installed LE I can always download it from Origin again

Hope you will find something there, I can see some red lines, but I am not sure what exactly it means

I don't get why it is not working for you, but I am trying to replicate your log setup, and the mod works just fine... Are you sure it was correctly installed when you ran into this issue?

I assume you don't have it anymore, but if in future runs you have the same issue, can you send me your savegame? This is a strange thing I would like to figure out why it didn't work for you, since apparently it is working for everyone else? Sorry to not be able to offer more aid now.

Well, I installed it as any other mod with the mod manager and it said that this mod is installed. I even checked again in the Manage target if the mod is installed when I didn't see the zombies on the ship before posting here. Just to be sure if it wasn't user error (well it still might be )

I think I do have saves before that mission. Let me find it and upload it somewhere.

So this one is directly from Saleon's ship, right after entering it.

And this one is from a planet before I went to the ship. So you can just go back to Normandy and fly to the Saleon's ship

Or this one is from Normandy, before I had the quest from Garrus in my log. You can just go to him and get the quest and then fly there directly.

I tried to run those saves again and unfortunatelly in all cases there are Thorian creepers on the ship. Not the zombies. I don't understand it as the manager says this mod is installed. Even the log says so. I don't have textures installed yet, because I am holding of right now. Waiting for some other mods I want to add to my game before installing textures. So that shouldn't be a problem either - installing DLC mod after texture mods, because I don't have textures installed yet.

But if those saves will work for you, it would mean something is borked in my set up. As a last resort I will have to vanilla the game and install the mods again And then see if it works for me.

      So I went experimenting.

Restored the game from back-up and installed only this mod. And it works great! Now are the experiments even more terrifying with their look So endorsing as it seems the problem is not in this mod

I will try to add the other mods to it too and see if it still works or if it will stop working with one of those mods I have Then it would mean there is some kind of conflict probably.

Edit: FOUND IT. I was adding mods one by one. And this mod stopped working once I added Morlan's Iconic Armor Store to my game. When I remove Morlan it works again. So there is some kind of conflict.

Thank you both for the provided saves and the information on the Morlan mod. I have just uploaded a new version that ensures compatibility between both mods (turns out they were taking the same load priority and despite not having shared files, Morlan was kicking these Zombies away from the gam ).

I hope no further problems are found for either of you. And if you do, reach me back

Amazing mod! I always found this to be really immersion breaking, so this is great! Considering MELE1's new engine capabilities, are you planning to make more lore accurate mods like these in the future?

A small detail, but I think it makes the mission more unique. Specially when every damned ship is the same map lol

One of my personal projects that I never released for the OT due to not functioning well 100% of the times is finally coming for everyone to enjoy on the Legendary Edition.

hahaha, yeah, a better model could definitely be used. Something more unique, more terrifying... But alas, I am not a model creator. But who knows? Maybe one day someone is on board to create an even more terrifying/disgusting version of the characters.

Yeah, I honestly wonder if they intended them to be this model and simply forgot...? As it is not really used anywhere; well, there's posed versions used as corpses in some places, but a rigged one existed and named zombie (although husks are named as zombies too).

Whether it was their intention or not, I prefer this since they have no in-universe reason to be Thorian Creepers, that was a pretty clear case of asset reuse.  Good mod!

I always wondered if the Thorian creeper model for them was just placeholder.

I wouldn't be surprised... The ME1 files are left with many unused models... This being one. Maybe they were intended to be Thorian Creepers, but no one reacts as if they were, nor a single log or codex entry indicates so...
