About this mod

Marks the location of mineral deposits and other points of interest on the UNC world maps.

This is a port of my Charted Worlds mod for the original Mass Effect game.

FEATURES

  • Mineral deposits and other points of interest are now marked on the maps of the UNC worlds.

  • Warning signs indicate probable locations of Thresher Maws. (Unlike in my OT mod, this does not require buying a scanner upgrade for the Normandy, and the Warning signs will not disappear after killing the Thresher - I will probably address this in a future update, but it won't be right away).

  • On the planet Xawin, a system already exists in vanilla to reveal the locations of mineral deposits, so I didn't make them visible by default. Same goes for survey stations on Asteroid X57.

  • All the legends for the added markers should be in the same language as your game.

  • In addition, the boundaries of the playable zone have been slightly expanded on the planet Nonuel, to prevent the incessant warnings from Joker (and possible pick-up and re-drop), while dealing with the local fauna.

INSTALLATION

Install as a DLC mod with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager (must be version 7.0.3 at least: older versions do not support DLC mods for LE1)

  • Drag and drop the compressed (.7z) mod file for Charted Worlds into the Mod manager window, and import it.
  • Select the mod in the Mod Manager library list (for LE1) and click "Apply Mod".

Uninstall with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.

  • Go in Manage Target (for LE1).
  • Find Charted Worlds in the list of installed DLC mods, and disable or delete.

COMPATIBILITY

  • This mod is fully compatible with LE1 Community Patch (LE1CP). Charted Worlds includes by default the fixes from LE1CP in the files that both mods modify. It's mostly a few helmet colors and mislabeled notes and stuff like that.

  • Afaik there should not be any compatibility issues with other mods.
