Update 1.2.0 - Should fix the visual bug in the armor preview window.
For anyone else wondering about the fix, I reimported the mesh choosing the option "Replace single LOD from UDK" This worked for this mesh but I have other mesh replacements that I haven't released that it didn't work for so there must be another factor. It's not caused by IVAP or any of my other mods. I tested this in isolation.
It has nothing to do with how the mesh was altered in Max or Blender, I had the same problem with a PSK I exported from LEX, packaged into a UDK and reimported the same way with no changes.
It has nothing to do with using meshes from other games, it happens with the same mesh from the same game.
It has nothing to do with Mesh Sockets because I imported to the same mesh with the same sockets.
It has nothing to do with invisible armour, whether you are using meshless pieces or pieces with tiny meshes attached (like IVAP uses), the problem occurs even when using vanilla pieces only.
If you are looking to get rid of the tint 2 color completely and not just try and match it, there is a color added by New Armour Colors (LE2) that seems to not show up at all. This might be the way I set up the tinting (I tried many variations on the maps in each channel - this looked the best) but Tint2 ID 208 seems to do the trick. It's about a third of the way in or you can change it manually in the save editor under Raw Data > Player > Appearance > Tint2 ID
Just wanted to ask anyone smarter than me. My Shep's neck keeps poking through the armor. I've been trying to fix it in Trilogy Save Editor, but I've only succeeded in making it worse. Anyone happen to know what value I need to change?
Thanks for all the flavortext in the me3tweaks menu, including the pictures was something that a lot of modders don't do so I appreciate that as well. Great mod ! first comment on nexus.
I'm glad you like it and I appreciate it. Keep it up! There isn't a modder out there that doesn't like to read a "thank you" or otherwise get praise for their work :)
I beat the game since posting this and I just wanted to say the customization was amazing and really helped make this playthrough interesting, it looks so intimidating lol
There isn't, sorry. If I were to make one, it would not be customizable (not possible for casual wear) and I would have to choose the colours/patterns so you might not even like what I come up with.
I quite like this mod but there appears to be a mistake with the default blue. The colour default blue is identical to the light blue instead of being the colour shown in the picture.
There is no colour called "light blue" so I can't check. Also just to be clear, we are talking about the colour of the lights, not the armour, correct?
Yeah, the lights. I couldn't remember the name of the colour. It's cerulean though. Default blue is the same as cerulean instead of the colour shown in the pictures. I'm not using any reshade or other colour-altering mods that might alter colours.
I've already done it for my own playthrough but the trouble is, it's a lot more complicated in LE1 and there are a lot of compatibility issues because changing any armour set means changing the exact same set of files so things like casual hubs and every other armour/outfit mod would need a patch. So you might want Ashley to always wear her iconic armour and have femshep wear the asari commando outfit and you might want casual hubs too. Not saying I won't do it but it's messy.
Also there is no customization in LE1 so you'd be stuck with whatever colours I release.
Glad you like the mod but sorry, I'm not sharing any headmorphs. It's too much work to maintain a mod maybe a handful of people will download while calling my Shep Space Barbie. It's not your fault obviously but there it is.
Thanks so so much! This armor is gorgeous and exactly what I wanted for my latest replay of the series and first time through the legendary edition! <3 Thanks for all your hard work!
Thank you so much for your hard work on this! The Asari Commando armor has always been a favorite look and I'm so glad I can finally use it!
I have a question - would it be possible to port this armor into Mass Effect 1 LE? I know the customization would not be an option so specific colors would need to be chosen. I'm dipping my toe into the world of Mass Effect modding and was thinking I'd love to replace one of the unobtainable armor sets (like the Spectre armors) with this, since those armors use a separate mesh from the standard armors. I know there's already an Asari Commando armor mesh in the base game but I like the look of this one more.
If it's not possible that's okay, but I thought I'd ask an expert. Thanks for any insight you can provide!
I already ported it to LE1. It replaces the onyx armor (which is unique to Shep) and then I just made everything look like that mesh. I just haven't had time to release it yet as I was going to do a few colour variations and such.
Please don't feel bad about asking because you didn't know but the truth is my dad died back in August and my mum is also sick so I haven't had time to stop and actually play the game let alone mod it. I'm not sure if and when things will settle down.

This is what I get for always forgetting to adjust my neck size.
This is what's been missing for my Adept playthrough.. :)
No more slow bulky armor,.. except LE1 of course :/
So i hope that you don't mind me asking about the Asari Commando Armor for LE1?

The compatibility with other mods and the colors are no problem for me personally, but i get that you would want to cater to a wider audience.
So thanks for replying.
