FEATURES

  • Reduces the duration of the popup notifications (e.g. journal/codex updates, research unlocked, etc). Since they tend to stack up and take two hours to clear out. Different types of messages still have different durations, to ensure readability (for example in case of journal updates).

  • Also reduces the duration of common hints (e.g. skills points to spend, cannot use powers on cooldown, etc).

  • Includes the option to selectively remove certain types of notifications (e.g. so that Codex update notifications do not show up at all, but others remain).

  • Note that some tutorial and unique messages are not affected by the mod (unless you select the option to turn everything off).

INSTALLATION

Install with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.

  • Drag and drop the compressed (.7z) mod file for Shorter Notifications into the Mod manager window, and import it.
  • Select the mod in the Mod Manager library list (for LE2) and click "Apply Mod".
  • Select the appropriate options if you want to completely remove certain types of notifications (though you may want to try the mod without those for starters).
  • In principle, the mod can be re-applied at any time with different options.

Uninstall with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.

  • Go in Manage Target (for LE2).
  • STEP 1. Restore SFXGame.pcc under the "Modified basegame files" tab. Alternatively, re-applying the mod without selecting any optionals should reverse all changes made to this file (but it might still appear in the list of modified files).
  • STEP 2. Find the mod under the "Installed DLC mods" tab, and click disable or delete.
