About this mod
This mod is the bin file for changing the gender flag in MELE1 which should enable you to have m/m & f/f romances.
- Permissions and credits
This bin file adds two keybinds: NumberPad0 = male & NumberPad1 = female.
1) BACK UP YOUR Coalesced_INT.bin file wherever your game is found [for me this was F:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME1\BioGame\CookedPCConsole]
2) extract/copy my bin file into the directory and override
3) THIS ONLY WORKS ON DEFAULT SHEP APPEARANCES. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW NOR THE CAPACITY TO FIGURE OUT CUSTOM FACES SORRY. Create your Shep with the opposite gender you wish to play as and the correct name you wish to use. [for instance, m/m create a female Shep and vice versa]
4) After the intro and you have control of your Shep simply press 0 (to change female Shep to male) or press 1 (to change male Shep to female)
5) [I'm not 100% that this is required but I did it to be safe.] Save and load the game file after step 4.
6) Quit out and use the backup of your Coalesced_INT.bin file to reset it to default [just copy and replace the file again]
7) I have not tested the full game yet just to the point of confirming for my game that this turned femShep to maleShep and I am being referred to as she/her/ma'am which indicates that it worked like old ME1. I'm releasing this in the hopes that it will help others take it further possibly, so feel free to use just give me a credit :D if you do.
