Brings back the option to change audio dynamic range in ME3LE in order to fix the issue where some sounds are too quiet.
- Permissions and credits
Audio dynamic range is the volume difference between the loudest and quietest sound. You could choose between low and high dynamic range in the original ME3, but the option is absent in the Legendary Edition for some reason. Maybe the developers meant to only remove options that had to do with multiplayer and removed the dynamic range option by accident? In any case, this mod brings it back.
The dynamic range is high by default, so, depending on your audio hardware, you may be experiencing the problem in ME3LE where some NPC dialogs in the game are too quiet. If that's the case, you need to set dynamic range to low.
How to install this mod
Just put the included Coalesced.bin file into folder:
\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME3\BioGame\CookedPCConsole\
Don't forget to backup the original file!
Compatibility with other mods
This mod uses modified Coalesced.bin file that you need to replace in your game folder, so it's obviously not gonna work with other mods that also use modified Coalesced.bin files.
ME3Tweaks compatible version of this mod: Audio Dynamic Range for ME3LE (ME3Tweaks Version) by DrPrank.
If you're not using ME3Tweaks, you can modify your Coalesced file yourself using Wench Coalesced editor (or any other program that does that) and instructions below (if you never edited a Coalesced file before, don't worry, it's pretty simple):
