N7 Engineer class does away with powers which are useless on Insanity difficulty such as AI Hacking, Cryo Blast, and Sentry Turret and it also replaces Incinerate with much more useful Incendiary Ammo.
N7 Engineer class was made with Insanity difficulty in mind and it has the following powers:
- Overload
- Concussive Shot
- Combat Drone
- Decoy
- Incendiary Ammo
- Tech Armor
I recommend taking Inferno Grenades as a bonus power.
This rebalanced Engineer class can now actually do what it says in the class description on the Personnel Records screen during character creation ("most effective class at disabling the defenses of the toughest enemies or incapacitating them to render them harmless").
Auto level-up table has been updated to correctly level up new powers.
Concussive Shot has been added so that you have a quick primer / detonator power which works well with Incendiary Amoo power and can also be used to get rid of enemies threatening you at close range. Decoy is pretty much self-explanatory (what kind of Engineer you are without a decoy?). Tech Armor was added to address the class inherent squishiness without having to waste your bonus power on Fortification. You can still take Fortification if you want extra damage reduction and even more power damage though, but it will restrict you to using a very light weapon loadout.
Engineer class passive has been fully remade as well:
- Rank 1 (+25% power damage, +4% reputation, +10 Weight Capacity)
- Rank 2 (+4% reputation, +20 Weight Capacity)
- Rank 3 (+25% power damage, +4% reputation)
- Rank 4a (+25% power damage)
- Rank 4b (+50% weapon damage)
- Rank 5a (+30% squad power force and damage)
- Rank 5b (+100% Combat Drone shields, +100% Combat Drone damage)
- Rank 6a (+4% reputation, +20 Weight Capacity)
- Rank 6b (+50% power damage, +25% power duration)
This class passive change allows you to play either power based (4a/5b/6b) or a weapon based (4b/5a/6a) build, whichever better suits your play style. Mixed build (4b/5?/6b) works particularily well with Particle Rifle equipped with Incendiary Ammo (use Explosive Burst evolution at rank 6 for maximum effect).
This is a simple DLC mod so it doesn't overwrite any game files. To install and remove the mod please use ME3Tweaks Mod Manager.
