Finished all 3 games' icons! Took a while to make custom icons for ME2, but ME1 made up for it by having PS3 icons within the vanilla files haha

This mod should be good at this point. Any issues, please report a bug and I'll make sure to correct it. Enjoy!

I saw that me3tweaks was released. I've never used it to mod, but I should time this week to play with it. This is a simple texture mod, so I assume it should be pretty easy to make work for me3tweaks. I'll update my mod here if I'm able to get it working for me3tweaks. Thanks

Unfortunately, after a bit of testing, found out this mod is causing massive stuttering issues in ME1. Game is smooth as butter without it. A shame, but I guess I'll have to stick with Xbox buttons for now.

Hmm, that is so weird. Sorry for that. I've not seen the same on my end, and I'm not sure how to look into the issue. This is a texture replacement mod using the standard MEM mod package. Not sure how it would affect the rendering to create a stutter.

Is it happening for you on ME2 or ME3 as well?

Wish I knew what the issue was, truly. I've only tested in ME1 because I haven't made it to the next two games yet. Maybe it'll work better there. Interestingly, the stuttering only seems to occur in certain places in ME1. Most of Feros was pretty bad. Some sections of the Normandy it gets worse. But the opening mission on Eden Prime was totally fine. Weird, right? To specify the stuttering: it'll run for two seconds, half a second freeze, run for two seconds, repeat. So strange.

What version of MEM are you using? My mod was made using 501 and should work with anything 501 or newer.

Make sure to tell MEM where your ME2.exe is on your hard drive. Once it knows where your install directory is, you should be able to install texture mods.

Like jtselph I downloaded MEM version 438 but just get "Game data not found" message when I click Textures Managers. I know enough to know that's cos I don't have MEM in the right place, but I'm not sure where the right directory is. Halp? also, what do I then do with your files? Sorry for noob :(

I am pretty new to modding games and am having a bit of trouble on this install. I am completely lost on how to install the Mass Effect Modder as per the instructions. Let alone the actual mod itself. Is there a link to a video or instructions to walk me through how to set this up? I just download the modder files and just don't know what to do with all the different files types (i.e  7z, gz, pro, etc.). I know this is a "noob" request, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I am even willing to offer payment for someone to walk me though the complete install of Mass Effect Modder and PS4 Controller Icons mod. Thank you.

    Hi there!

When I try to use the Mass Effect Modder it says I need to find the M1/M2/M3 executable file, but I have no idea where the separate exe.'s are. Does anyone have a fix for this?

EDIT: I found out I needed an older version of the Mass Effect Modder, it recognizes the exe. now

The game executables are in your install location. Once your in your "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" folder, go to the Game folder, and then you'll see a folder for each of the three games (ME1,ME2,ME3). The executable file for each game is in the Binaries > Win64 folder.

How do you delete this mod? I tried it on ME2 and now my controller isn't working at all...

I just uploaded an uninstall package to the optional files of this mod. You install these "uninstall" files the same way you install. It will install the vanilla textures files. Safest route is to do a check/verify files using Origin/Steam to have it download the original files again.

I should note - I can't see any reason this texture mod would break your controller functions. It only touches some textures files. You may want to do a check/verify on your files and then re-install any mods. Good luck!

Thanks! I'm not sure what the issue was, but I reverted back to the vanilla texture files and verified them. Then I re-installed the mod and now it works again, with the mod.

Absolutely unacceptable that games STILL ship without the option to switch button prompts. You're a hero, as I've been waiting someone to take up this task for a month now. Thank you so much!

You're welcome! And I totally agree - it's so much easier for them to throw in the icon package, and so many of use are using PS controllers to play our PC games these days. I'm actually using a PS5 controller these days haha. Glad I could help you out

Great Work, It really baffles me why the DEVs won't just add a toggle for the UI like some other DEVs do with their games.
There is a minor error on the launcher UI, the credits is the touchpad, but its actually the share button...

Yeah, good catch. The PS3 icons for the game actually use the touchpad icon for Share, so I just keep doing the same throughout. Maybe if I find the motivation I'll create a custom Share icon to match the Mass Effect style icons and update my mod. Thanks for bringing this up

Thanks! Appreciate your work on the ME2 mod back in the day! Always nice that someone takes the time to fix the little things for those of us that care
