An interactive checklist for ME1 and ME1LE

Permissions and credits
Hi! This is a Checklist for Mass Effect1, created for those who, like me, are hardcore completionists and want a better way of organizing their ME1 playthrough.
I uploaded a previous version of thischecklist las year, but had to take it down because somehow there were missing locations and I did not have the time to recheck and edit an all that stuff.

I figured i would upload it to the Legendary Edition mod page as well. I added a version without the Pinnacle Station content for those playing ME1LE or just ME1 without Pinnacle Station :)
With the release of the Legendary Edition of the trilogy, and the mission and assignment system was sadly not improved, I decided to remake the checklist and re-uploaded, so here you go!
Just like las year, there’s an excelversion and a Google Sheets version, for those who don’t have excel. The versions vary a little because the tools are different, but the functionalities are the same.
To download and use the Google Sheets version, please see the sticky comment on the POSTS tab.

If your progress stays at 0%, please download the pdf "Percentage Fix.rar" from files or follow written instructions on the bottom of the description.

The file contains two sheets:
  • Locations:
- Contains a list with all Planets, Asteroids and Space Stations.
- Each locationis followed by two checkboxes:
- The first one to check if the place wasvisited
- The second one to check if all assignments/missions in that location are done
- As you will see in the first row, I have color coded each location into the categories Main Mission, Assignment, Survey, Read Only, Bring Down The Sky, Pinnacle Station.
- In addition, locations in which main missions, assignments, and DLV missions happen, have a hyperlinked arrow that will open the Mass Effect Wiki page for said location/mission.
- You can keep track of the percentage of places visited on the top row, in the cell that reads “Galaxy Progress”. Each time you check a mission completed checkbox, the percentage will go up until it reaches 100%

This will only count when checking the checkboxon the right. I decided to have two checkboxes in case I visited a planet but didn’t do the mission on that visit for whatever reason. So you can actually ignore that first checkbox, but it’s still there if you want to use it.
- You can filter the locations by Cluster, System and Location, as well as by Color in both the locations and the checked status, which will automatically change to blue when checked and to not filled when unchecked. You can also search for a location by just writing it in the filter search box.
  • Assignments:
- Contains a list with all Assignments in the game, sorted by type of assignments in accordance with the Wiki.

- Each checkbox will increase the Completion percentage shown at the top and will automatically be colored blue when checked and not filled when unchecked.

- As you can onlydo one of the Character-Specific Assignments, when you check the one you’ve done, the other two will get checked as well. The percentage will only count one.
- As you can doboth Morality Dependant Missions, these are individual checks. If you did both and check both boxes, the percentage at the end will show 102% instead of 100%.
- You can filterby Assignment name the same way as in the Locations sheet.
NOTE: Some assignments might have a slightly different name in your Journal, as they change based on your decisions. The name in the file should be similar enough to identify.
I didn’t add a sheet for Main Missions because I always found those ones well organized and easy to find in the Journal in-game. If enough people ask for it, I could add a new sheet with those missions to the file.
For those playing the LegendaryEdition, you’ll know that the Pinnacle Station DLC was not included in the game, but I decided to not erase it from the Checklist because there will probably be people replaying the original with said DLC installed. If you’re playing LE, just check them to get the 100%.
All data has been taken from the Mass Effect Wiki.
This excel file should be perfectly compatible with Excel 2010 and up.Not sure about older versions, as I haven’t been able to test it. If your version is installed in a language that is not English and your percentage stays always as 0%, please follow the instructions on the bottom of the description to make it work or download the mod file “Percentage Fix.rar” that contains a more visual explanation.

Remember to save  your file before attempting any of the following steps. That way, if something goes wrong, you can exit without saving no problem.

Locations tab:

  1. Select and unhide columns F to J and V to Y. This will reveal columns G and I, labeled “Checked” and columns W and X with two totals
  2. Check anycheckbox from columns F or H to see the value from the next column change.
  3. Select cell X4and change from the formula “TRUE” to “{ value from step 2 }”. For example, in a Spanish version of Excel “TRUE” becomes “VERDADERO”.
  4. Select and hide columns G, I, W and X for a prettier view.

Assignments tab:

  1. Select and unhidecolumns C to H.
  2. Check any ofthe checkboxes in column C to reveal the value from the next column.
  3. Select cell G3 and again change the formula from “TRUE” to “{ value from step 2 }”, just like in the Locations tab.
  4. Select and hide columns D, F and G for a prettier view.

Aside from these indicated changes, please refrain fromchanging anything else in the document, because it can and probably will break it!

Please let me know if there’s any problem and I will look it up. Enjoy :)
