This mod makes some of the weaker weapon augments stronger.

Weapon Augments Rebalance

Bioware had a good idea with the fire system and gun projectile augments, sadly not all of them was on par with the rest. Hell some of them just plain made every gun worse. I aimed to buff/rework the biggest offenders, such as the single fire system, burst fire system, and the grenade launcher augments. I also buffed the automatic fire system augment slightly. Even though it was already the most widely used augment, the other two systems had a net 70% bonus and 70% penalties, while the automatic had 80% penalty.

I did a brief testing with a limited number of guns, so feedback is appriciated if any of them is either too strong or weak. Grenade Launcher buffs might seem a lot, but it was really pathetic to begin with and from my (non-exhaustive) testing it wasn't game breaking or anything.

The changes in detail:

Single Fire System new stats:

  • +60% Damage
  • +10% Accuracy
  • -40% Clip size
  • -30% Rate of fire

Burst Fire System new stats:

  • +40% Rate of fire
  • +20% Force
  • -35% Stability
  • -25% Accuracy

Automatic Fire System Accuracy penalty changed from -40% to -30%.

Grenade Launcher:

  • non-shotgun damage buffed by 600%
  • shotgun damage buffed by 1000%

For request:

New Automatic Fire System mod. 

New values:
  • +40% rate of fire
  • +40% ammo capacity
  • -40% damage
  • -30% accuracy

New Beam Emitter. Changed the formula to calculate beam damage.

Old formula:
(weapon damage * rate of fire) / 600

New formula:
(weapon damage * rate of fire) / 520

Known bugs:

The texts for the Fire System augments still show the old values, it either can't be changed or just I didn't find it.
