    NOTICE:

Latest version ( 0.58 ) fixes previous version problems with lighting and colors (psychedelic rainbow hue, etc).
Ray tracing parameters were pointed as the cause, those have now been removed.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're using Frosty Mod Manager (Frosty Tool Suite), its author suggests to place the USER.CFG file into the "ModData" directory.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This "mod/tweak" was tested (and works) with game version 1.05, and should also work with all future patches/versions.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS MOD IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE POSTING BELOW.

Please don't waste my time and yours with silly remarks or with complaints, for things that the description had already adressed.

    Cheers

yes, its really get better if u use this command variables for different processors, its like 15-20 more fps for me, u better include this commands in the mod destription, because its the main fix, and not many people checking READ.ME

Playing on fmm, tried it in andromeda directory and in moddata, does absolutely nothing either way, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong
Playing on rx 560 i5 7400 lowest possible settings with fxaa, my gpu is overclocked and I'm still sitting at 40-50 fps most of the time with or without this file regardless of where it's placed

Is there a way to improve the shadow quality somehow? My in game shadows are pixelated after using this mod, and i cant uninstall it because it makes certain textures black if i remove it.

Trying to hash out this game's poor optimizations with raw power and proper settings, can someone help me get the right settings for my build? Especially when it comes to cores and thread usage?

    CPU: i9 10900k @ 3.70GHz (5.1GHz Turbo, 10 Cores/20 Threads)
RAM: 64GB 3200MHz (XMP Profile Enabled)
GPU: RTX 3090 (24GB VRAM - Before you ask the latest drivers are installed)
SSD: 4TB Samsung 860 QVO (R: 550MB/s - W: 530MB/s | This is the SSD the game is installed on)
PSU: Corsair HX1200i Platinum (1200W - So certainly no lack of power)
    Display: UltraGear LG27GN950-B (Over DisplayPort 1.4a: 4K 144Hz OC, IPS Panel, 1ms Response Time & G-Sync Compatible, DisplayHDR600)

    Game Specs:
    Version: 1.10
    Platform: Origin (Origin Overlay disabled)
    Video & Graphic Settings:
    Resolution: 3840 × 2160 (144Hz)
    Resolution Scaling: Off/1.00×
    Chromatic Abberation: Off
    Film Grain: Off
    V-Sync: On
Triple Buffering: Off (For lower latency purposes)
    Custom Ultra Preset
    Anti-Aliasing: TAA
    Ambient Occlusion: HBAO Full
Depth of Field: Ultra (May be causing FPS drops in cutscenes EDIT: Setting to High hardly makes any difference)
    NVIDIA Settings:
    Gamma Correction: Off
    FPS Limiter: 60 (Personal preference)
Shader Cache: Off (This may have caused flickering shadows in another save while re-building shaders EDIT: It does not)
    Power Management: Maximum Performance

Average In-game FPS: 60.1 (How it normally runs due to FPS throttle)
Low FPS: 38.7 (When the Tempest is parked on the Nexus, 43.2 in some other areas aboard the Tempest)
Lowest FPS: 16.3 (Cutscenes, jumps to this number for a few seconds before recovering when the camera zooms in on people)

Do I use these settings in the USER.CFG? And would it improve FPS in some of my Low/Lowest cases if I did?

I noticed the fps tanks when I'm orbiting the Nexus and head to the cockpit. If your RTX 3090 runs as badly as my GTX 1660, I fear no mod will solve this issue. I wish they'd release some next gen patch to at least fix the damn bugs.

Turn off vsync at least if you have a G-sync/Freesync monitor, just eats your fps unnecessarily.

Edit: Ah, noticed you're running on 4k. Though, I don't think it should dip to 16 fps.

I do not recommend it on patch 1.10. Sure you will get more frames but the game will stutter a lot, without it I have no stutters but less frames.

Yeah, same result here. The framerate is at pretty smooth 60 in-between all the micro-stutters. But having a tad lower framerate is preferable to having stutters.

The only thing this mod did was turning the game into slow motion...

It seems that you missed the pinned post on top, the bit written with yellow font in particular.

But yeah... over 260 endorsements versus one troll comment. I guess I should be happy about the balance.

This CFG actually decreases performance, not to mention most of the commands in the CFG don't work in ME:A since patch 1.09.

    Thanks for sharing either way.

I agree With @Josesnake this caused me to uninstall and install the game 3 times until i figured this was causing massive lags and stuttering. Don't use this if your game is version 1.09 or 1.10.

Some commands are plain wrong - I mean the spelling is off - examples:
      WorldRender.MotionBlurEnabled
      GstRender.Dx12Enabled

If you type it in the game using console you'll get unknown command - it should always be just "Enable".
The DX12 wasn't implemented so don't bother turning it on.

      GameTime commands like:
      GameTime.ForceSimRate
      GameTime.MaxSimFps
      also doesn't exist except the
      GameTime.MaxVariableFps
but it seems it's doing nothing, the game is no longer using it I guess?

The cool "trick" is to have better cut-scenes by utilizing:
      Render.UseLowerResolutionForCine
      Render.ResolutionScaleFactorForCine
I'm using 1.25 so it's rendered 1.25x times actual game resolution and then scaled back to look better.
Basically the final image is super sampled.

      Also what I found the
      RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit
It's best to keep at 0, or 3. Same thing (beacuse default is 3, zero is use default value)
Don't put it to 1 cause your performance - mainly in cut-scenes will dip and stay 10fps lower as usual gameplay. This is in case you are using it together with VSync. You can experiment setting it fist to 2.

Your extremly wrong it is a issue with your system not the tweaks because this makes a difference big time and keep in mind i bought the game from origin so i am using the latest version
