About this mod

A variety of choices of how many skill points Ryder will get per level up.

Permissions and credits
Main files have been updated to be used with the Frosty Mod Manager, available to download here. Old versions still have to be installed with the ME:A Explorer. I still have to figure out why the mod isn't granting exactly the skill points it is supposed to.

A few changes to how many skill points Ryder will get per level up that I made since I don't really want to run back to the respec station after every mission and don't really feel like diving into a New Game+ since it's still kind of buggy. I calculated the total skill point number with Level 65 as the max level.

Skill point changes only affect Ryder, not your squadmates.

I haven't tested the mod extensively yet, only enough to see if it works properly and which values I have to edit. If there is anything wrong, please let me know. To be on the safe side, manually save before your next level up so that you have an unmodded save to fall back on should the mod mess anything up. Only install one version at a time.

Skill points apply retroactively based on which level you are. So don't worry if you suddenly have a lot of them, it's just the game correcting itself.


It takes 21 skill points to max a skill with 12 skills in a skill tree.

It takes 252 skill points to max a skill tree (Combat, Biotic or Tech).

It takes 756 skill points to max everything.

To install the mod:

Simply download the ME:A Explorer found here and remember to overwrite the .dll in your game folder so the game will start with mods installed. Open the explorer, then click "Load FS" and select the game .exe in the your game folder. Then click on "Mod Manager", select "Mods" and either "Load List" or "Load Folder", depending on whether you have multiple mods you want to install or not. For the last step just click on "Run All" and you should be set!

Remember to back up your vanilla game before modding with the Recovery Tool by Wavebend.
