About this mod

This mod allows overriding which of the open mic night presentations play the next time Ryder enters the Vortex bar area.
It also allows toggling additional illumination for the outpost flag row, and the stage.
Includes an optional change to the storyteller's presentation.

In all my playthroughs so farm the open mic night never played all its stages. So this mod finally allowed me to see all of the content.
The zip file includes three a total of ten mods, of three main categories:

Storyteller change
Optional mod that adds an unused line to the storytellers performance..
ATTENTION: I don't know if voiceovers for this line exist in all game languages, so using this might crash games set to other languages than english!
The previously unused line is sandwiched between the originally playing line by the storyteller and Dutch's reaction:

Textmods
These mods contain the localized texts for the main mod. Since the texts are simple, i relied on machine translation. If there is something incorrect, please let me know!

Open Mic Night Overrides Main Mod:
This adds a control panel to the south wall of the Vortex bar.
From this panel, you can toggle the additional lighting in the bar at any time. In addition to the lights, a blue indicator on the screen's right side is shown.
Once the open mic night has been announced, additional functions become available (See also the example screenshot): These allow to override the state to use.
  • Enable / Disable Override: This is used to toggle the state override. Disabling the override means going back to vanilla behavior. The orange indicator at the top right of the screen shows if the override is active.
  • Individual stages: There are on the left side of the added screen, each with three indicator rows:
  • Most left: A red (inactive) or blue (active) indicator for the vanilla game's current stage. A green indicator in the middle if a stage is currently playing due to an override. A pink indicator for the stage override selected to play next time the area is entered.
Short description of the individual stages in the spoiler:

  • Poet: Spawns the turian poet, and the presenter announcing him.
  • Wait: This stage is often active, sometimes at the same time as others. Depending on other conditions, it might leave the stage completely empty, or have the open mic night presenter there waving.
  • Storyteller: Spawns the angaran storyteller.
  • Songs: There are three different songs playing in succession the first time this is active: A Song about the first contact war by the Human on stage, a Turian singing about a lost battle, and finally an Angara presenting a rhyme about their war against the Kett.

Another button allows to clear the stage: No one spawns on the stage. This is intended for when your game is stuck with the waving presenter spawning there in the 'wait' state. A red light will flash once when this is activated.
Stage override changes become active the next time you enter the area around the Vortex. They are not immediate.

The open mic night announcement happens early in the game, after Prodromos is founded. It should play the second time Ryder goes to the vortex bar, unless something more important happens.

NOTE: Each stage is played only once, going back to an earlier stage will not replay that part, just spawn the involved npcs!
NOTE: I once had a crash while testing when leaving to nexus ops, probably unrelated. But it is advised to save before making any override changes!
