I have done that already and its working very good. Can send you the file if you want. I don't know if i can put it on nexus if BecauseBotFed don't want me to. Frosty has a editor too i used that to convert it. Very easy to do.
I figured out how to get this mod working on Frosty Mod Manager! Follow the steps below to get it working for you:
1. Download the old version of frostyeditor (you MUST get the old one, as the new version does not allow you to import and convert MEA mods; you can find the old version here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16kf-hv67SxQz2PuGRvEyAH_VhtWoMUGB/view) 2. Click File-> Import at the top, and choose this mod 3. After importing the mod, click File-> Export (you will be prompted to include a name, author, etc. for the mod you just converted; write whatever you want, it doesn't matter) 4. Use frosty mod manager to import your converted version of this mod, and it should be running when you next play the game!
IMPORTANT NOTES: -If you add this mod, you will be unable to make complexion changes in character creation. I don't know why this is, but it was in the original version as well. If you really love your complexions, I would recommend downloading one that replaces a preset (such as some in the stormi character creation overhaul) and using that preset with that complexion. It doesn't always work perfectly though, so you may have to try more than one. Also, some complexion mods (like some of LollaLeeloo's Complexions) are paler already and can be just as effective as this mod. -I won't upload the new working version of the mod on nexus because I don't have the permission of the original creator, but if you follow the download instructions, it really is very easy to get. I'll try to keep an eye on this comment and answer questions if I can, but I probably won't be really active here.
Good luck guys, and reply to this comment if you have any questions/issues. Even if I can't answer them, I'm sure someone else will be able to.
I wasn't able to get the old FrostyEditor 1.0.2final working - spits out too many unhandled exceptions on startup. It's painful to read how 'very easy' it is to get and be stuck with an outdated software.
Is there any chance to get converted mod files from you or anyone with a better luck than me?
No matter what I do I cannot get the game to play with this mod. It works fine until I try to start a new game to use the Pale Skin mod. However, the game stalls right at the end of it loading. Therefore, I cannot start a new game. Then again none of the mods that I use work anymore---since the patch 1.07 update. I have been trying to get them to work ever since, but to no avail.
Please read previous comments... as of Patch 1.06 this mod no longer works with any recent MEAExplorer. There have been mixed results in it working with an older version (before May 9th). But there are now 2 updated versions of this mod, one on Tumblr and the other here on the Nexus: Romance For All by Atherisz under Miscellaneous
Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. The Romance All Mod seems to be the only mod that I can get to work----where the game loads. With over 900 hours of play time in all ready I have kind of gotten used to using the number 5 female preset.....with .05 skin tone. I use a custom face that I found on Youtube. com. Thanks again for your reply.
Great, installed the mod. Game won't even start now. Cannot uninstall the mod. Can you at least tell me how to download older version of your program from github? Guess I'm back to another whole night of downloading and five hours of installing this game. Thx.
Nevermind, downloaded the older version from github. Tried old and updated version of your mod. The game still wont even start. Every fifth attempt to start the game results in a black window and infinite loading while nothing shows up... So how can I uninstall it?
In order to uninstall mods you needed to make a backup with MEA Recovery Tool by Wavebend, so when you want to uninstall a mod you use the recovery tool again and it basically resets all the necessary files - which means it uninstalls every mod you're using then you have to reinstall the ones you want again. But that had to be done BEFORE installing mods. Try repairing your game.
Im running 1.06 and it seems fine at the moment got the pale skin mod working and the mixed complexion mod has just updated (pic in gallery) using updated MEAExplorer as well and as Kitsumi mentioned it does seem like a more sudden tonal drop from 0.00 to 0.01+ skin tones but otherwise it works well.
I can't get it to work either. The mixed complexion mod is working just fine, but when I install this one the loading screen freezes. I'm using the updated MEAExplorer too. I just can't see what I'm doing wrong.
I'm not totally sure what you guys can do differently as it seems like your using the same stuff I am . Though I'll detail what I did, also to note the pale skin mod still worked for me post 1.06 and only when adding the mixed complexion mod pre-update did it get stuck for me.
1. I had to repair my game files because I hadn't at the time gotten the MEA Recovery Tool and 1.06 update (something I've now added) 2. grabbed the new version of explorer (1.0.6340.2671) I hope this is the new one at least lol and did the standard MEA recovery tool backup and also then replaced the ANSELSDK64.Dlls in the Andromeda installation folder eg c:/program files 86x/origin games/MEA etc 3. then standard load FS and whats normally done to get the explorer working for MEA 4. installed pale skin mod - leaving out the as yet non updated preset 5 MC mod - ran MEA and that worked fine 5. Rechecked the Preset 5 MC Mod page and grabbed the 1.06 version of that installed it and ran MEA - went new game - custom ryder - loaded up fine.
So to all intents and purposes I think the above is standard fare for what everyone has been doing, I could see separate/mass loading maybe doing it or the load order may have an effect as in Fallout 4 (different engines/processes notwithstanding) Alternatively It could be just dumb luck and for that you have my commiserations.
Well, I just did everything exactly like you described and it's still not working. Oh well, I guess I just have to wait for an update. Thank you for trying to help!
I just got it working by using an older version of the MEAExplorer (1.0.6328.32992). When I tried to use this mod with the newest version (1.0.6341.35613) I got stuck with infinite loading when I wanted to create a new character.
Same here. Grab an older version of explorer off github to install for now (if you click on 'commits' you can pick a previous update point.) I used 1.0.6335.0656 and it works fine with 1.06 and with complexion mods.
Here is another solution (scroll down to the file Pale Skin Unlock Patch 1.06) http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/132/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fmasseffectandromeda%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D132&pUp=1

I shall try using frostyeditor anyway
--Edit, got it working! Pale skin using frosty!
Care to share your file?
I know, I am late to the party...

About the pale skin for the frosty manager. Could I get it?
Please and thank you <3

EDIT: nvm i just downloaded the version where it had commit prior to the patch release
Though, Evergence's file works fine for me.
