Description
Back in the old days, I was able to find retextures of the N7 Dress everywhere, but since the BSN was shut down there is less than a handful of dress retextures available to download.
I know my way around the Me3Explorer and I've made a few textures before, so I set out to just make my own.
I combined Ellise's N7 Dress retexture (available: Here) and Kami Hime's White Dress texture from her "Regular Leather Dress replacer" (available: Here)
I heavily recommend getting any of the Mods that they have made as they are both just amazing, I personally use Kami Hime's Dress Fix but my retexture will work even if you don't use it.
All I did was edit the Dress Diffuse together, then used that to make a Norm, and then tweaked Ellise's Spec map to fit this Dress.
I'm probably going to add some more versions, I'm still exploring with options. Would like to add floral version.
Installation
- Use Texmod (Tutorial: Here)
- Or Install permanently using the ME3Explorer TPF Tools (Tutorial: Here)
PLEASE make sure you read this article.
Modding Mass Effect is different than modding other games like Skyrim or Dragon Age and you can mess up if you don't know what you are doing. I know I sure did when I first tried installing Mods.
Always remember to make a backup of whatever file you are modding, which for this mod would be: BIOG_HMF_ARM_CTH_R which you can find in your ME3 Installation folder which should be : (Wherever you have Mass Effect Installed)\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\CookedPCConsole

Again, This is just an edit where I pretty much cut and pasted different parts of other people's texture on top of each other so credit belongs to them.
I checked the permissions for Ellise and according to that, I should be allowed to use her texture as an asset here as long as I don't sell my mod.
For Kami Hime (or also known as Heleuss on Tumblr) it was a bit more difficult as she is currently on Hiatus/Unresponsive, however, I don't imagine that its a problem since I'm not pretending that I didn't use her texture. Also shout out to GPG, Ottemis and the Guys from the ME3 Explorer Wiki, their tutorials helped a lot.
