BLACKOPS MODS
"BlackOps" Retexturing is a theme i decided to embrace for most of my ME3 mods. The spirit is : sobriety, class, tactical features, stealth/dark, "realism" in a way and no "power rangers" multi-color anymore. If your eyes love it, you might found other mods i did on the same theme by writing BlackOps in the research bar.
DESCRIPTION
This is my first ME3 mod that turn the Liara default armor's textures into a black/dark grey/metal one. Obviously for Lore, good taste and Immersion. It's now in better resolution, but i had hard time on belly's scales alpha map, can't go further sorry ... but it's not that shocking.

WHY ? WANNA HEAR THE STORY ?
I started mass effect 3 some days ago. It took me so long to get on it it because i loved the first one but found the second really really boring (no shit). And now i have to say im pretty surprised and happy with this 3rd opus.
While choosing adept class, i quickly had my fav teammates in mind. One of these 2 is Liara. But but but ... what the hell is that shiny white armor that screams "hit me ! hit me ! im here ! im a biotic addict with no armor ! free kill" !!!!????
Not a really fine decision for an Asari if you ask me.
So first ... i told myself "okay ... don't get into modding again ... you don't have much time in your life ... take a look at the alternates/dlc armors and may be there will be one less ... cringy". And then I gave a try with each one of them, and each time, i had that "regret" feeling for the nice shape/materials/boobs of that default armor.
So i looked with me3explorer for a bit and got my hands on the original dds's of the game linked to it (not HD). I tweaked them to make this armor in black/cold dark grey/metal. Half a day of adjusments and it now fit extremly well with James default armor and N7 shepard (dark materials) default armor. Worry not, it will never be black enough to make armor details disapear, but will still be dark enough to fit with other darkest/black armor of the game.
My fav team is all stealth now ! gogo N7 black ops !
INSTALLATION TIPS (MANUAL ONLY)
Mass effect 3 is really a pain in the ass to mod. This might be my first and last one i think. Sorry if i don't give you any other way than a TPF installation.
Lucky me ME3explorer evolved well and it's just a texture update we are doing here !
0 : Completly shut down your game
1 : Take the last complete version of ME3explorer, install it & run it.
2 : Hit the green "TPF tool" (you might have to go for a Tex ride if there is no tree yet)
3 : now load my file : Load > LiaraBlackOps.tpf (wherever you put it)
4 : Hit the "Install Valid" button
5 : Close & now just to be sure, go for an "Autotoc & generate all tocs" ride (another tool)
